I'm getting away from using the microwave, so I wanted something smaller than my 1.5 qt pot to melt butter, heat up milk for recipes, etc. The size of this Butterwarmer is perfect for that. The quality is great - heavy and sturdy, heats well without burning, and cleans up easily.
I gave it four stars because the pouring spouts aren't big enough to make much of a difference in pouring stuff out. Thankfully the Butterwarmer is so small and light enough so that pouring stuff out isn't a problem. But if they're going to put pouring spouts in, I wish they would make them big and wide enough to actually function as pouring spouts.
I just love this little pan, I don't know how I ever got along without it. I use it on my induction cooktop. It only takes a few minutes to make a single serving of hot cereal, etc. I would definitely recommend this pan.
