    Cuisinart

    July 26, 2013

Was reluctant to order a Cuisinart since I have a waffle iron that worked once and has never worked again and couldn't be returned (due to time between uses)and a few other sketchy stuff I tend to lean towards Kitchen-aid but I was pleasantly surprised at the ease and simplicity it is to use this and made delicious ice cream and frozen yogurt.

    Easy to use

    July 17, 2013

I've never made my own ice cream/sorbet/sherbert, but the Cuisinart is easy to use, with few parts to assemble and easy to clean. I made two batches of ice cream right away and found the process straightforward. I can't wait to make more!

I have purchased several ice cream makers from the old fashioned type to newer models and have ended up giving them all away. Not This time!!! It's great, and so easy to use, also quick and for a family of ice cream lovers it's perfect. I did see on the reviews before I ordered, that it was noisy, but I don't agree, seems pretty quiet to me. The recipes included are also quite good.

Excellant sorbet maker. I am allergic to milk products so this is going to come in very handy for summer and will save me a ton of money over going to the store all the time. I grow berries in my back yard....

So far I have only made frozen yogurt. It was made from our own homemade yogurt and our homegrown frozen strawberries. It was fantastic! Love the ice cream maker. So easy to use and clean up is a breeze. I also bought an extra freezer bowl to have a spare on hand and ready to go.

This product is everything I hoped it would be. It's fast, easy to clean, and I can make any kind of ice cream or frozen yogurt I want in minutes! I've made three different kinds in the last week and I just bought the ingredients for more today. Couldn't be happier!

I love this machine. It's easy to use, cleans easily. The receipe book gives you lots of choices. Vanilla ice cream is all I've had time to make and it is wonderful. I bought an extra freezer container and am glad I did. Great value.

My son and I are trying to eat healthier, so we're making ice milk rather than ice cream. We've experimented with artificial sweeteners and different fruits and it always comes out great. Love this ice cream maker!

This was an awesome gift for my little girl at Christmas. Once I had the freezer bowl completely frozen we were ready to whip up some ice cream, which is my daughter's absolute favorite sweet treat.

Works great. Keep the bowl in the freezer and in 20 minutes, you can have ice cream. I use a an easy recipe from a friend, 3 c. heavy cream, 2 c. milk, 1 c. sugar. Whisk 'til it starts thickening, add vanilla beans or small fruit and stir. Turn ice cream maker on, pour in mixture, and leave it to "churn" for 20 minutes. Serve immediately.

    Ice Cream maker

    by Sandra, NY
    July 20, 2011

Followed the recipes in the booklet for the Cuisinart for the Basic Vanilla Ice cream. It was an instant hit. Made a few variations. First tried adding chopped up Oreos, another hit. Then Chopped up frozen strawberries, another hit. Last, with the Basic Vanilla added the seeds of 1 vanilla bean, of course, another hit. We also tried the Basic Chocolate, but used the Special Dark Cocoa Powder. Best chocolate ice cream. The only changes I made was to use half & half instead of whole milk. Last, I tried a blueberry sorbet. What a cool, refreshing treat. Thank You Cuisinart. I don't see our family buying ice cream from the store again.

    Good Value, Great Machine

    by Francesca, MD
    February 1, 2011

I LOVE this machine! The churning action is smooth, and my ice creams freeze up to a nice soft-serve in just a few minutes. Very easy to clean, very easy to assemble. The best part about it, though, is that unlike other machines, there's no messing with ice and salt, just take the core out of the freezer and go!

I think this is a great product. I was disappointed when you sent me a email saying I had a discount because you missed me, then I tried to use it and it would not let me. O well i am still happy with the product. Thanks

The ice cream maker is very easy to use. It requires you to plan ahead to make ice cream as the bowl has to freeze for 16-24 hours. The ice cream is very soft and melts quickly when you eat it right out of the machine but it sets up nicely when you freeze it for a while. The machine is fairly noisy, but it only takes 15-20 minutes to make so it's not a big problem. I've used it several times since receiving it two weeks ago and I love it. The pumpkin pie ice cream (from Cuisinart's website) is delicious!
