Worth the premium price.

People thought I was crazy to pay this price for an ice cream maker. Let them keep thinking that I'm crazy. I coming up with frozen desserts that are better than anything that I can buy at the store. I control the ingredients and the flavours that I want. If I want a vanilla ice cream with a strong vanilla flavor I add a lot of vanilla. If I want a chocolate ice cream that is not too strong on the chocolate, I adjust accordingly. I had some leftover pears poached in red wine. I through everything in a food processor, added a touch of cream, and in 30 minutes had developed a new frozen favorite.

I'm not really sure of the value of this product as it is expensive in comparison to other ice cream makers, and I haven't had a chance to use many other brands (just an old noisy bucket/ice type). The ice cream this unit produces is excellent, and it's a snap to use and clean up. The build quality is solid and it runs quit quiet considering the fact that there is a compressor running while it churns. If you love your ice cream it's probably a good investment!

Lussino Ice Cream Maker by Musso

We read ALL of the reviews throughout the web and ended up with the Lussino by Musso. We are very, very happy with it. What everyone complained of: noise, nonremovable bucket (therefore, supposedly more difficult to clean) and weight, we found to be insignificant. The noise is on par with a quality dishwasher.

This is a great machine to use at home. I've been wanting to buy this for the longest time and I wasn't dissappointed when I got it. The best thing about this is that it has its own compressor so no need to freeze a bowl before you make ice cream. It is easy to use and clean, isn't noisy and looks sleek and sturdy.

One Great Ice Cream Maker

I was hesitant to spend this much on an ice cream maker. I had the small Cuisinart where I had to freeze the bowl, but it took up so much room in my freezer that I rarely made ice cream. After reading the reviews, I decided to try the Lussino. I love it. This makes the best ice cream. I've now purchased several cookbooks for artisan ice creams, and use it all the time. Great purchase.

Pricey, but worth it

I chose this after reading numerous reviews. What they say is true, it truly makes the best ice cream we have ever eaten. The sorbets have been phenomenal as well.

The machine is relatively quiet and easy to clean. You still need to cool your mix and we've discovered that we should make it the night before we want the ice cream or sorbet.

The recipes it comes with are quite good as well.
