I purchased both of the glass 1 gallon cookie jars and although I prefer the other jar with the threaded lid for freshness, I find this jar more heavy duty, and if you have kids you'll find that a very redeemable quality while the extra length of freshness not as necessary as the cookies don't seem to last all that long! :)

I use this to brian my meat with. glass does not hold order or taste like plastic does. Also there is only the two of us, so my cuts of most meats are small enough for this size jar and fits in my fridg real good.

I bought three, and they hold bags of pasta, and bags of non-wheat flour. They display beautifully.
