Whether you want to make fried chicken, light tempuras, onion rings or doughnuts, you can do so with this 1-L. Deep Fryer from Cuisinart. It features an extra wide fry basket, and it allows food items to float freely for crispy even cooking. A heating element keeps oil at peak frying temperature and the removable fry basket rests on the basket clip to allow fried foods to drain and cool so you don't have excess oil clinging on. It is healthier to use, too: it can fry more food using less oil than most conventional fryers. This 1000-watts deep fryer is housed in brushed stainless steel and also features adjustable temperature from 325F to 375F and the timer can be set for up to 30 minutes. The lid, fry basket and basket handle are all dishwasher-safe.

As its only me im pretty pleased with this product. It frys just enuf for one, and is quite easy to clean. The only thing I dont like is the handle of the basket. It folds in for storage and becomes a problem when trying to empty the entire contents of the basket to a plate. You have to use a pair of tongs. Other than that its great.

When it first arrived and I unpacked the fryer, my first thought was I'm going to have to send this back; it's not big enough. I went ahead and prepared deep fried halibut for dinner that night and did not use the basket. I had to cook in batches, but it did a better job of deep frying the fish than the old skillet I'd been using. All said and done, I decided to keep it as it took about the same amount of time to fry a fish dinner for two in the deep fryer as it did in the old skillet (I had to turn the fish over due the the skillet being shallow. I did use the basket for the French fries. It also left my kitchen cleaner (no oil splattering).

Nice little deep-fryer for one or two persons. Heats quickly and recovers quickly (as long as food isn't cold).
