Since I received my Zojirousi I have baked a loaf of bread every day, Each loaf of a different recipe, all turned out great.

Sure beats doing it the old fashion way. Great bread, perfect sized 1 lb. loaf so the bread is always fresh. Great baking pan....no flimsy aluminum here. Unless you have a big family, don't know why you would want a larger machine sitting around and taking up space, since this little one does it just right. Goof proof at that. Built to last.

I have ranted and raved about it to anyone who will listen, and since I have shared the bread with many, they have all heard about it. I plan on giving it as a gift.

Just mix the ingredients, close the lid, set the timer, and go about your other business. I chose the one pound because there's only two of us and I thought two pounds would be too much. I like the options presented. My bread is looking better each time I experiment! I'm glad I purchased this machine.

It had a 1-lb capacity and did a great job until the pan and paddle wore out (and replacements were no longer available). I replaced it with a 1.5 lb Black and Decker machine that was never quite right, especially with recipes other than its own. The larger capacity was more than I needed, too. Now that it has finally failed, I turned back to a 1-lb machine and recently bought the Zojirushi. It's funny to think that what was standard size 20 years ago is now considered "mini." I have only baked two breads so far - one from the recipe book that came with the machine and my old favorite from another cookbook - and both turned out perfectly! I like the crust control options - a feature I have not had on previous machines - and the fact that my loaf is just the right size. If I get 10 years' use from this machine as I have with my others, the price is less than $20 a year - can't complain about that!
