I bought this saucepan because I thought a one quart pan would hold one quart of liguid during use. It is much smaller. I had already bought a great little nonstick saucepan which has a smaller base, and higher sloped sides which is ideal for a small amount of sauce or just about anything else. So I returned this one. If Calphalon would state the actual dimensions of their saucepans, I wouldn't have had to return it which cost me almost $12 by UPS. Would have kept it, but not enough kitchen space for extra pans about the same size.
I am very impressed with the nonstick products. I have been using Silit pans which I bought in Germany. They are very attractive and strong, but usually need a treatment with Bartenders Friend to clean them up. Calphalon clean up is much easier.
