I've always wanted a Cast Iron Skillet, and this prodect is top-notch!. I've been so pleased with the way food cooks, the consistency, and the final outcome of the dish being prepared. Cast Iron is quite different than typical cookware. Other than tha "weight" of the product, I'm very pleased. I will not purchase any other products through your Betty Crocker Store, as I find your shipping rates outrageous. I don't feel I saved ANYTHING by purchasing this skillet at a "great price", when I saw what I was charged for shipping. Shame on you.

CAST IRON SKILLET BY LODGE

Had been wanting a new skillet for a long time and it's been years since I cooked with cast iron. So happy that I ordered this skillet and use it all the time. Good old fashioned cooking with a new modern appliance - it's wonderful!! A perfect size to fix meals for two of us. I keep it on my stove all the time and never even put it away - it's so amazing.

Perfectly seasoned out of the box, just a simple, good cast skillet. as a bonus, I have a Lodge cast dutch oven and it turns out the lid from the dutch oven fits this skillet.

Caste Iron Skillet

I haven't used one of these in 25 years, however, this seems like a very good one. They are a little hard to clean when you have made eggs but everything I read about using them is positive. I would rather have iron in my food than chemicals from non-stick pans! Personal feeling.

Prepared the skillet like the directions said to do before using the skillet and I found the food sticking to the skillet.

It is just like my grandmother's cast iron skillet (actually better because I did not have the task of initially seasoning it). It cooks lovely and cleanup is a breeze. I highly recommend it.

Good Quality/ Value

For the money spent I have not used a better skillet. Good size, not too heavy, and it has a lifetime warranty. What more could you ask for?

A good heavy skillet, have only used it so far to make skillet cornbread it came out great. I was somewhat surprised by the interior roughness but calling the manufactuer they said that was as it was supposed to be.

I have been meaning to get an iron skillet for a long time. Having grown up with my grandmother and mother using them, it wasn't until I was older that I realized that this type of a pan might actually have a purpose. When I was a teenager, I also worked in a restaurant where we used them on a regular basis for in-pan baked pasta dishes. So, I finally bought one about a month ago. I have used it several times to cook breakfast eggs and homefries. It worked really well for these items and what I liked most was that clean up of this pan is soooooo easy. This is certainly not the type of pan you use for delicate, low fat food. It withstands high temps and can be used for both stove top and oven. No wonder they get passed down from generation to generation. I wish I had grabbed 1-2 of grandma's pans when I had the chance years ago!

Where have you been all my life? I love the way it heats evenly and the food doesn't stick. My favorite skillet. It is heavy but I don't lift my skillets to move food around anyway.

The skillet is perfect! The only problem is that it's a little smaller than I needed.

easy clean up and great cooking

I have always loved cast iron and this is an amazing skillet. My family thinks I did our normal scrambeled eggs are better for some reason. Yep, because I threw out the nonstick and bought what I have always used in the years passed. Great size and I bought a deffuser for my glass top and it is wonderful to be able to use cast iron again. Lodge is a great company and I will always buy from them because they have not outsourced, and make a great product

Preseasoned cast iron? Come on! This is a great product at a very reasonable price. I've used it 3 or 4 times already, and it performed flawlessly, every time.

I've enjoyed finally being able to use a product that won't be scratched up in 6 months !! :)
