Sturdy & well-made

I've gone thru several graters that didn't hold up to regular use over time, but this one is very sturdy and works very well.

don't wait - get it

you may see less expensive graters in stores or on cooking.com...forget them and buy the microplane - one can really shred cheese - long, fine, thin cuts....all vegetables are easy....you do not have to apply real force to get a good cut - safer.....a really good product.

Easy to use and clean. All blades work well and the handle on top allows you to hold the grater in place while in use.

sharp

this product is very sharp and does a great job with grating. I like it and just need to watch myself. Its much sharper than my old one. The guard helps keep me from scraping my hand when not being used.

After we had an Oxo Good Grips Multi grater fall apart in less than 6 months, we wanted something sturdy and efficient. This fits the bill. I always trust Microplane, but I wish the sides for medium and fine were swapped.

Good Cook

I used the grater several times. It did a great job.
Found that it was easy to clean too.

Good grater, not very stable

I enjoy all the features of this box grater. Each side works well and the slicer on the side is an added bonus.

My only frustration (and the reason for 4, not 5, stars) is with its stability. I used a 3-footed grater before and it felt much more stable. With this box grater, I feel like I am working hard to keep it from rocking. In fact, all the work I'm saving while grating (because the edges are nice and sharp) just seems to be transferred to maintaing stability.

Otherwise, it's a great box grater, and I hope to use it for a very long time.

Almost perfect cept.

I wish the cutting surfaces were larger. Dang things a knuckle biter so be reeel carful when using it. Microplane is the real deal though. Its very ergonomic.

Poor consruction

For a product in this price range and a company with this reputation, I expected a better constructed, sturdier product. Considered returning but not worth the effort.

The product label on the plastic guard was almost impossible to remove. A definite minus on my overall satisfaction. It's removal really irritated me.

Great grater...watch your knuckles

So far the microplane sharpness works great (grate). Hope it lasts.
