Great bread knife & carver at modest price!

This is the best bread knife I've owned. The serrations on both sides of the blade help to cut uniform slices easily, and the extra length is great for big rounds and roasts too! For years I've put up with a heavy, shorter Henckles bread knife with serrations on only one side which made angled or wedged slices unless you really compensated for the blade angle. I used this to carve my Thanksgiving Turk and the light weight, flexible blade handled the job beautifully, better than my Henckles carver. It's wicked sharp too. Both Henckles knives are retired! I first considered this knife based on it's high rating from America's Test Kitchen. I'm not positive this is the exact model they rated highest, but it's close and fine by me. I won't give this one a 5 rating until I see how well the edge lasts and determine if I can sharpen it myself.

I have a set of hand forged knives and loaned out the bread knife thinking I would retrieve it soon. I didn't so I bought this one. It is the best bread knife I've ever used.I bake a lot and often bake artesian bread with a strong and hard crust. This knife goes right through it and cleanly. My friend can keep my hand forged knife as long as she wants.

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY SON. HE USED IT AT MY HOME BEFORE TAKING IT TO HIS HOME. IT WAS SLICK AS CAN BE. NO EFFORT EXPENDED. HE HAS SINCE USED IT MANY TIMES AND LOVES IT. CAN'T BEAT THE SWISS ARMY PRODUCTS.

This knofe meets all the requirements of a great product. It is durable, effective, and inexpensive.
Compared to the other bread knives on the market. This is a terrific deal. It cut all kinds of bread with ease -- soft squishy, hard crusted, or inbetween
