  • Great bread knife & carver at modest price!

This is the best bread knife I've owned. The serrations on both sides of the blade help to cut uniform slices easily, and the extra length is great for big rounds and roasts too! For years I've put up with a heavy, shorter Henckles bread knife with serrations on only one side which made angled or wedged slices unless you really compensated for the blade angle. I used this to carve my Thanksgiving Turk and the light weight, flexible blade handled the job beautifully, better than my Henckles carver. It's wicked sharp too. Both Henckles knives are retired! I first considered this knife based on it's high rating from America's Test Kitchen. I'm not positive this is the exact model they rated highest, but it's close and fine by me. I won't give this one a 5 rating until I see how well the edge lasts and determine if I can sharpen it myself.

    I recommend this product.

  • The best knife at the least price

I have a set of hand forged knives and loaned out the bread knife thinking I would retrieve it soon. I didn't so I bought this one. It is the best bread knife I've ever used.I bake a lot and often bake artesian bread with a strong and hard crust. This knife goes right through it and cleanly. My friend can keep my hand forged knife as long as she wants.

    I recommend this product.

  • 100% satisfied

I bought 1 for my son's family as well as 1 for myself. We both are extremely happy with this knife. It performed exactly as shown on ATK's test. Compared it with other serrated knives and there WAS no comparison. I cut Italian bread across and lengthwise and split bagels. It went through them like going through butter. No ripping, no tearing and no squashing. I expect it to slice through a large roast just as well.

    I recommend this product.

  • Awesome knife

Did not realize that a significant difference could occur in bread knives. I bought some Victorinox sizors in Swizerland 10 years ago that have remained sharp as a razor. This knife is just incredibly sharp and cuts bread perfect.

    I recommend this product.

  • Excellent Edge

Excellent bread knife. Good length and teeth don't rip loaves apart. Glides right through. I especially like that the tip of the blade doesn't cut grooves into my cutting boards.

    I recommend this product.

  • Best Bread Knife

Not costing a lot of money and certainly not cheap, but a wonderful bread knife, made by a company that has made knives for the Swiss Army and others for many years. So its reputation is sound. It feels good in your hand, cuts easily on soft and hard breads. Just a delight of a knife to have. The length of this knife is long enough to reach through most loafs that would be made. Like I had said, a wonderful bread knife.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great Product - Great Price

This knofe meets all the requirements of a great product. It is durable, effective, and inexpensive.
Compared to the other bread knives on the market. This is a terrific deal. It cut all kinds of bread with ease -- soft squishy, hard crusted, or inbetween
