I love your salad spinner. It is a great time saver for me. I wash my romaine and leafy lettuce, tear it into pieces, place them in the spinner and spin off the water. The clean and dried lettuce is stored in a container in the refrigerator - ready to use as needed. The Salad Spinner makes "preparing salads" easy.
You don't have to go out to a restaurant to get a good salad anymore! This product spins the lettuce and draws just the right amount of moisture out, put in refrigerator for and hour and it crisps the lettuce to perfection. Necessary tool for life.
Don't waste your money on any other spinner. I had a cheap one which I rarely used because it was difficult to operate and a very poor design. The design and materials of this one are very high quality. The pump action is smooth and the bowl catches all the water and is easily cleaned out. Also, it is multi-purpose since you can use the outer bowl for serving.

First of all it took me awhile to figure out how to unlock the lid. After putting my lettuce in and spining a few times, water was still on the lettuce.I have one that I use at Church and the handle turns, and the lettuce is almost dry when it finishes. I really like that one. I thinking about giving the one I bought form this company and getting the other.I can turn better that I can pump.
I love it! My girlfriends have been on me to get one of these for some time. (I guess they got tired of washing and drying greens by hand when we cook at my house...) I finally broke down and got one. I don't know what I did before I had this! (Oh, that's right. I made my friends do the work...) It's big enough to spin for a crowd but doesn't take up too much space in my kitchen. The clear bowl is also a great for serving and saving. (READ: One less dish to wash.) Love it! Get one!
I love this gadget! I used it tonite to spin freshly shredded potatoes to dry them before frying...worked great.
As usual my whole experience with cooking.com was a pleasure.
Terrific site, terrific service, terrific products.
I actually gave this as a gift, and since then I've been asked by several people where I got it. The hints for more gifts like this have been coming in fast, so I'm sure there will be more of these handed out to family and friends.
This salad spinner is well designed and constructed. The instructions which came with it were clear and easy to use. It works extremely well, and has a good capacity for greens. Definitely a product I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
I am very pleased with the spinner and it's ease of use. It does a great job spin-drying leafy veggies and lettuces. There was a little black half-moon piece of foam rubber attached to the bag the spinner was in. However there were no instructions indicating what this piece of foam rubber was for.
I've tried at least 3 other salad spinners (some pretty pricey) in the past few years. They crack, the mechanism becomes sluggish or the darned thing is never big enough for more than 2 people. Since I've received my OXO large spinner, I use it at least 3 or 4 times a week. It's great not only for drying salads, but works wonders for getting water out of sliced potatoes before frying or making casseroles. When a recipe calls for thawed product, let it thaw, throw it in the spinner and let the H2o flow! Every day I seem to find a different use for it. Great product for the money -- ease of use is outstanding and Cooking.com did their usual deed of ensuring fast, hassle-free order processing and shipping!
