Works well but a bit small

The spinner is fine but a bit small. Nothing ot rave about nor complain about. The price was within the average range.

No more soggy salad! This item is easy to use and spins lettuce dry in record time.

Great kitchen tool. The cost of the appliance should be offset by not having throw away soggy lettuce. I cleaned a variety leaf lettuce, gave it a few "spins", and left it in the container and it literally stayed for days in the container. I am having problems finding a "place" to store it, along with the rest of my stuff, but have no regrets making the purchase.

Oxo Salad Spinner

I've been looking for a salad spinner for quite awhile. This is the one that looked the best to me even though it was pricey compared to some others. I was able to get it for a very good price thanks to Steamy Kitchen. I'm very happy with it, too.

OXO Salad spinner

I like the pumping mechanism better than the old, broken spinner crank the OXO replaces. It doesn't seem to spin as fast, but gets the job done.

Best Salad Spinner Ever

America's Test Kitchen actually rates this as the best which is why I bought it. Also, my mother has had one for years and raves about it. The ease of use is fabulous and I love that I can store my spun greens inside it in the fridge.

I wish I bought this salad spinner over the summer so I could tell you how it does with all types of lettuce but I have been using it to strain cooked pumpkin to get out the excess water from the cooking process. It worked like a charm and I was very impressed. It handled the heat of the cooked pumpkin and cleaned up nice in the dishwasher (top rack). As with all salad spinners you just have to have the storage room for when it's not in use which is why it took me so long to buy one. I am pleased with this one though and thought the price and size weren't too bad (I got it on sale though).
