Fill your home with the aroma of fresh coffee with this Zojirushi 10-c. Fresh Brew Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker. This sleek-looking coffee maker has a big advantage over traditional coffee makers on the market, since it is equipped with a thermal carafe that is made from stainless steel to keep your coffee warm for hours without leaving it on a burner. This allows your coffee to retain its delicious flavor, cup after cup, without taking on the bitter flavor that it might otherwise get from being left to stay warm in a glass carafe. This coffee maker doesn't make you wait for that first cup until the brewing process is complete, thanks to its handy pause feature that allows you to halt the machine's drip long enough to pour yourself a hot cuppa. It brews up to ten cups of your favorite coffee, so everyone in the house can get a refill, and it has an auto shut-off feature that enhances its safety. Program it up to 24 hours in advance to have your coffee ready when you wake up or when you get home from work. As a bonus, its stainless steel filter basket is detachable, so cleanup is easy.

Features:

  • Comes with a stainless steel thermal carafe that keeps your coffee warm for hours without heat
  • Equipped with an easy-to-read LCD for its timer and clock settings
  • Its stainless steel filter basket is detachable for ease of cleaning
  • Large capacity coffee maker makes 10 cups of coffee per brew

  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS:

  • I really like this coffee maker, the carafee is nice and big. Holds lots of coffee and keeps coffee hot a long time. Makes great tasting coffee and it is nice and hot. I had another carafe style maker but coffee was not hot enough when done. This one has great temperature.

My one complaint is the top is really hard to open when you want to pour your coffree. It has to be unscrewed everytime you pour and it gets really tight when the hot coffee is in it. It gets frustrating in the morning when you are still trying to wake up and can't get to your coffee. Bad design on lid of carafe, should be improved.

    I recommend this product.

  • Pretty good thermal coffee maker

I got this after my Starbucks Barrista maker died. I like the controls on the side, preventing accidental water spills into the panel, which I think killed my last machine. The Zoji is pretty good, very hot coffee, especially if you use warm tap water to begin with. The thermal carafe keeps coffee warm for a couple hours, like most other models. Easy loading of ground coffee and water. No problem using paper #4 filters. It is a bit hard to unscrew the lid, could be designed better, ergonomically. Overall, I am happy with the product.

    I recommend this product.

I bought the Zojirushi as a birthday present for a friend, to replace his Mr. Coffee thermal carafe coffee maker.

The Zojirushi is very sleek and elongated, which makes it quite attractive - even better looking than the picture. The controls are simple and easy to use. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for a very long time. It's a huge improvement on my friend's old thermal carafe and he loves it.

I have recommended it to other people, and if I ever need a coffee maker I would definitely choose this one.

  • Disappointed with product

Water goes all over, everything being black is difficult to work with. Hard to see what to clean, don't know when it is dirty. Cap is difficult- hard to remember to get it out of the way. The screw cap that catches the coffee.

  • Very Good no-frills coffee maker

We buy Starbucks ground coffee and like our morning coffee much stronger than average. When I was researching coffee makers I kept looking for reviews that told me if it made good strong coffee, but could't find hardly any that covered that aspect. Many say it makes "good" coffee, but that is a very broad interpretation since everyone has their own preferences on coffee strength (or weakness). So I am offering my two cents here. When our last coffeemaker was retired, we used the manual cone filter method (pour boiling water over coffee grounds in a paper filter in a cone which drips into a pot). This makes really full-flavored rich coffee, but is a bit time consuming, and the coffee doesn't stay hot once its made. So we decided to get a coffee maker that mimicked the paper cone drip method but would heat the water for you, and keep it hot. (This Zojirushi model was #2 on my list, but #1 was twice the price!) It makes coffee darn near as strong as the manual method, VERY good flavor, and the carafe keeps it piping hot for hours. No problems with turning the lid - just don't put it on really tight. I draw filtered water into the carafe the night before and let it sit on the counter so the water will be closer to room temp. I ordered it about a week before Christmas, but it was not a present, so we didn't need it or expect it by Christmas day; but it got here just 2 or 3 days after I placed the order! A pleasant surprise from cooking.com. Very happy with this Zojirushi so far.

    I recommend this product.

  • Okay - but not the quality I expected.

I expected much better quality for the price. It is okay, but not exceptional. I wish I would not have bought it online without looking at it. Lid is awkward, pot doesn't keep coffee hot for long.

  • Good value

This is the second Zonjarushi coffee maker we purchased. The first one is two years old and has had daily use. It still works fine. We bought our second one for use at another location. We are very happy with this product. We fold the No4 filters by their seams and then put them in. They fit perfectly that way. We put the carafe lid on till it stops without snugging it and it works fine. The coffee brews quickly tastes great and stays hot.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great Coffee Pot!

I was looking to replace an old Mr. Coffee unit that more or less had a meltdown (yikes). But it was that cheapo coffee pot that made me fall in love with the thermal carafe. I will never have another glass pot.

After a whole lot of Internet searching, it seemed to me the Zojirushi not only had the best price point, but was also one of the very best rated pots. So I jumped in with both feet!

I love it. The brew is super hot, and the carafe keeps the coffee hot for a ridiculously long time. It's amazing. I've had no problems with overflow, spilling during pouring, the lid being too tight, or the #4 filters not fitting. I think the negative ratings you see there are all related to user error, not the Zojirushi. Oh, and it's tall, but it fits fine on my counter under the wall mounted cabinets. No problems here.

I would definitely buy this again, and recommend it to anyone. It's great (and pretty sharp looking, too)!

  • Did not last

We had the first machine for a couple of years. Very happy. It broke, we ordered a new machine, it worked 10 mornings and then broke. Ordered another machine, that one worked 2 mornings.
Sorry, went to another trade mark.
Hope to get our money soon.

  • Better than most...

I just had to have a thermal coffee maker. Previous machines broke and of course, spewed coffee all over the counter, floor and cabinet drawers.
The 10-c. Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker by Zojirushi for the most part solved that problem.
The nomenclature is a might clunky. It could be a tad larger. The filter/grounds receptacle isn't deep enough for #4 standard filters. You have to remember to place the hot water spigot over the grounds after filling. The 180 degree Open/Close pouring lid is sharp and slippery. Almost impossible to decant at first due to vacuum lock.
Finally, the dopey "topper" that is designed to plug a hole in the top and middle of the pouring lid. You need to pay close attention to this "latter day milk bottle puncher". In the early morning hours, it is possible to forget that it is affixed to the pouring lid and the design will allow you to stick it under the grounds receptacle.
This affords you a half day of mopping up your kitchen and getting very personal with all of your affected utensils, pots, pans and your dishwasher.
It would be nice if the R & D folks would look this over again. They cured the overflow problem but other problems were left in the wake of their wizardry.

    I recommend this product.

  • meets all my needs

Has a thermal carafe and an auto setting--the 2 most important things about a coffee maker. You have to be careful when screwing the top on because it becomes hard to open once the coffee is hot if you screw it on too tightly. I would like to find a reusable coffee filter for this machine but my old gold filter is too large.
Overall it's a good machine and I would definitely recommend it.

  • Rad coffee pot!

We got this as a replacement when our Cuisinart all-on-one started leaking water all over the counter. I must admit to being sad about switching to a grinderless pot, but it was all for nought: this coffee pot rocks! It's super lightweight and the carafe keeps the coffee hot for HOURS! Really! My husband poured a cup from the morning's brew in the afternoon and it was still hot! Not lukewarm, hot! Great buy, Consumer Reports was right on the money!

We drink a lot of coffee. My last, and best, coffee maker had a broken cord, and I did not want to spend a great amount of $$ for another. This one looked good, had good ratings, and was not too expensive. We are very pleased with it. It makes a good daily cup of coffee. The top can be difficult to turn to open, but it stays hot for quite some time. Not as good as the one I lost, but a surprisingly good replacement for under $100.

  • Best caraffe coffee maker for the home!!

Compared to Krups, this coffee maker trumps it. The coffee is hotter, carafe keeps coffee hotter longer, and no leaks like the Krups carafe brewer. This Zojirushi has been in service for a month without needing a reset of the clock and automatic brew setting. Glad I saw this featured on Cooking.com

  • Zorjirushi Coffee Maker

I read a review of this product in the Rachael Ray magazine which rated it the best coffee maker for keeping coffee hot after brewing. Since we have always been disappointed with previous coffee makers because the burners did not keep coffee hot, we were especially interested in researching our next coffee maker before purchase. The Zorirushi is excellent - the coffee is delicious and stays very hot for hours.
