This is my first Capresso product. Well-designed overall, with a couple of handy features I've not found on other units: the "3-5 cup" setting slows down the brewing so the flavor of a partial pot is maintained. The water level indicator shows a red ball - easy to see and measure. Minor quibbles: filter holder doesn't stand upright on the counter, and the carafe is a bit tricky to wash because of its shape. The water filters are pricey, and the suggested replacement schedule is rather short. Unit was well-packaged and arrived sooner than expected.

The Capresso thermal coffee pot costs more than most other brands, but makes great coffee. We just bought our second and find some differences: Larger water container, slightly taller, lighter thermal coffee pot. It's still noisy ... and may not keep coffee hot for as long as the older heavier version but remains our favorite. Be sure and rewarm the pot with boiling water if you want the thermal feature to be effective.
