Not just for crepes!!

I love all of Calphalon products, but this crepe pan is a favorite. The flat bottom cooks crepes, eggs, omelets, etc. all quickly and evenly. Love it, love it, love it! Now I would like a 7-8 inch crepe pan.

I am in the process of replacing some of my older pieces. This new piece looks like it should outlast the old. The nonstick finish, construction and the weight of the pan makes it a very high quality product and a pleasure to use.

The weight of the pan's metal handle overwhelms the weight of the pan itself, making it off balance and awkward to handle; a lighter handle would improve it. The handle is also too narrow for a good fit to the hand.

This product is the best, I own one and purchased this one for my son who loves to cook. He is as happy as I am with it. He made a frittata on New Year's morning and said it is the best pan he has worked with. I agree, I use it for many things, not just crepes.

Not the Tuilleries but...

A couple of weeks ago I got one of those delicious citron sucre crepes from a stand in the Jardin de Tuilleries. Wrapped in paper it warmed me as I wandered around with that sense of amazement that never leaves you in Paris, no matter how long you are there. When I came home I had to have a crepe pan. My crepes turn out pretty good. The pan is all you could ask, particularly considering price--but that elusive flavor, something about the texture, I'm guessing, seems to require that crunchy cream sand, very old buildings, and scarves. Oh well, that said, the crepes slide right off the pan, just the way you want them to--easy. The clean up is a dream, my pan won't let me work to clean, leaving me more time to imagine I'm still in Paris.
