    Instructions would be helpful

I like this sharpening rod, but there could be detailed instructions on how to properly sharpen a knife. While I think I'm doing it correctly, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong because I have some very sharp parts and some still dull parts.

Relatively new to the kitchen, I hadn't yet bought a sharpening steel for my santoku knives. After getting this steel, the knives are very sharp again. It seems to have done the job as I hoped, and was not expensive.

Very nice Sharpening Steel for your knives. I had some old dull knives that I used on this and had great results from it.
