Doesn't work on smooth top range

The small flat spot on this stir fry pan does not generate enough heat when used on a smooth top range. The result is that even a two-serving size of meat does not sear as it should for stir frying, but loses its juices and boils. The pan may work fine on a gas range as it otherwise seemed well made. After one trial, I returned it.

Nonstick Stir Fry Pan

I chose this pan because I liked the depth for stir frying. The nonstick finish makes it easy to cook in and easy to clean up. A really good value!

Easy to use, easy to clean

Replaced an older version and this one is superior to my original and really handy....plus my older stir fry was a 14 inch....a little overkill most of the time. Love this, can you tell?

Wok's in a finish :-)

My previous woks were heavy commercial pans with Teflon coatings. Aside from everything I have been reading about Teflon, the finish on this pan was starting to wear off badly. I have been looking around for replacements for all my Teflon coated pans for a while, but hadn't really found anything I liked. This wok really meets a lot of needs -- the non-stick finish is not Teflon, the handle is at a very good angle, the bowl is well shaped, and so on. I recommend this wok highly.

Slow to adopt non-stick.

Although I have been slow to adopt non-stick pans, I fell in love with the Calphalon Contemporary skillet set special, and decided to look for a matching chefs' pan to replace the el cheapo pan I got a Wal-Mart. I purchased this 10-in. stir fry pan and also bought a 12-in glass-lidded wok. I particularly like the rugged non-stick finish and the stay-cool handles that really work found on the Contemporary line of Calphalon non-stick.

The slate colored anodized Calphalon finish is very attractive hanging from my pot rack next to my cast iron collection.

10 inch???

This is a nice pan, but I don't know what part of it is 10 inches. We bought the glass 10 inch lid to go with the pan. Unfortunately, it was about an inch too small to fit the pan, and we had to return the lid.

Easy to use and good results. Just the right size for two to four people. A top might have been nice.
