I'm evaluating stainless versus nonstick cookware before purchasing all new after years of mix & match cheap stuff, so the promo price was a real deal. This pan is well made, the lid fits well and lid handle stays cool. It was great for sauteing floured chicken breasts (Chicken Marsala), cleaned up easily with a Dobie pad, but fried eggs stuck. It's solid without being too heavy. Seemed to heat evenly. I haven't had a chance to use it too much just yet. If I were to purchase this entire set, I'd still keep a few sizes of nonstick for certain things.

10 inch stainless steel everyday pan

I bought it to replace an aging non-stick pan everyday pan. I wanted stainless because I'm sick of non-stick coatings flaking off .This pan is great looking and anything that does stick cleans off easily. I like the clear cover and it looks great hanging on my pot rack too!

For the price, you really can't beat this pot. The Contemporary Stainless Steel by Calphalon is really beautiful and yet easy to maintain. What I don't like about the everyday pan is that the handles tend to get hot because they are so close to the surface of the stovetop and it is difficult to drain without a third hand. I really think that that the saute pan is much more useful for those two reasons, but it is still a handy little piece to have and isn't as heavy as the saute pan when you just want to cook something small and is way cheaper. I'm glad that I got it.

The Greatest Pan Ever Created

It's perfect for a full meal for two, or as a side dish for a larger group. It's very attractive and goes directly from the range/oven to the table at our house. It's the third Calphalon Everyday Pan in this house. What does THAT tell you!

I WANT MORE!

Non-stick cookware has its place, but I prefer uncoated metal pots and pans for most cooking. The Contemporary stainless is beautiful, cleans easily, and cooks great. I will for sure buy more pieces!!!

This is a great everyday pan. The handles do get a little hot during cooking, but the even heat distribution and quality make up for the small flaw. It cleans up very easily too. I just purchased it a few weeks ago and have already used it several times. Great pan for the price.

Exactly what I wanted

I love this pan! It is the perfect size for just the 2 of us. I especially love that it can go from stove top to oven with no problems with a handle sticking out. Just perfect.

pretty to begin with

After using the pan once it is discolored and hard to clean. Bought this expecting it to last a long time.

perfect for one or two

I really enjoyed using this pan last week. I fixed several pieces of chicken breast, onions, and carrots in chicken broth. It cooked slow and was delicious. I had meals prepared for a few days. I did have to use Barkeepers Friend to remove some stubborn chicken fat stains. Regular soap did not remove it, and I did not want to use regular cleanser. It did wash up nicely after that.

Goes from stove top to oven and good for a small family meal. Very easy clean up.

This pan meets ALL my expectations of being a helper to my cooking efforts. It is very well made and is as good as ANY of the much higher priced cookwares available today of which I already owe several. This is a great pan. I love it!
