This bowl is versatile and great but you should know that it is a big bowl--much bigger than your average vegetable server. It is high so it holds alot and is easy to stir in. It is perfect for our pasta dinner and to mix a salad in. It is so pretty that it makes a very nice presentation as a center piece with fruit on the table. It mixes in with other dinnerware patterns very well so you need not necessarily have the whole set to buy it.
