I ordered this book for my mom because she had received a cast iron dutch oven for a gift and she wanted to know how to cook in it. I went on line and searched through the different dutch oven cookbooks and chose this particular one because it didn't say anything about the recipes being for outside/campfire cooking, as my mom would be cooking inside in her kitchen. The book is written for outside cooking and you have to convert the recipes to be able to use them inside. I hope she will be able to use it. The recipes themselves looked very good.

Dutch oven cookbook

I actually had previously ordered this Dutch oven cookbook for myself and totally loved it. So this order was for two more cookbooks that I ordered for Christmas presents for two of my good friends. It is a good starter book. It is in a format that is not too cluttered and does not scare the beginner away. It also has recipes that you can actually try and want to try.

The cookbook is great for Dutch Oven used outside on a open flame. I wish it had more recipes for on top of the stove and in oven.
