Faulty thermostat?

I purchased the griddle based on numerous positive reviews, although it was smaller than my previous one. I used it for the first time on Christmas morning. While the griddle cooked very evenly, as promised, it seemed unable to hold a consistent 300 degree temp for bacon and the temperature had to be increased every few minutes. It took far longer than with my previous (inexpensive) griddle and did not cook as well. I will return it immediately after the holidays, along with the same item ordered as a gift.

I sent the griddle back to you. The cooking was quite uneven. I made pancakes and half of the pancake was brown and the other half was very pale.

Love the way the heat is evenly distributed. It was great to have pancakes for the entire family ready at the same time. So glad I made this purchase and chose this product. I am very happy with my selection!!!

Have purchased a number of electric griddles which were all a disappointment. This one tops them all. Would recommend it to any and all. Just need to let it really heat up to give an even heat through out the entire surface.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband who is the weekend breakfast maker. Our old griddle was 10 years old, heavy and awkward. When we first took this out of the box, we were surprised at how lightweight it was (and small compared to our old one) and we were worried if it could perform as well as our old one. The first use quelled all our worries. This grill performed as advertised. It heated up quickly and evenly, and even though it looked small, it fit eight regular sized pancakes.
