This is an excellent griddle! It's large enough to make breakfast for a lot of people, or for just one. It heats evenly, which is key; and it's easy enough to clean that it will get used over and over. It does take up a bit of room to store, but the positives out weigh that one negative.

Great griddle for the money

The griddle works great as advertised. Cooks pancakes very evenly on the generous-sized cooking area. Heats up to temperature quickly and maintains an even temperature across the entire cooking surface. I cooked 8 pancakes at once and all were GBD (golden brown and delicious!) when I flipped them. The non-stick surface performed great and the griddle cleaned up very easliy. I work for a food manufacturer, so I plan on using the griddle commercially for product demonstrations and food shows. I did some research and this unit rated high overall by users and had a best value rating for the money. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of this griddle!

Nice size, heats up quickly, plug location is convenient. I like this product. Way better than a similar griddle made by BroilKing - uneven heat across teh griddle top.

I love this griddle! Made my first batch of bacon and pancakes just yesterday and everything came out great. The surface is plenty large to do almost 1 lb of bacon at a time or at least 4 average size pancakes without crowding. I can tell this griddle will be used often. It cleaned up very easily and overall, I can think of dozens more uses for it. I highly recommend it!

THis is my second purchase of this griddle

I bought one of these for myself a few months ago, I enjoy it so much I bought another one for my neice, she loves it.
It's great, after you use it, you can wash it in the sink, it cleans in seconds or put it in the dishwasher. As far as a gift goes it's cheap enough, and it's funtional so it a very good item to buy for someone when you can't think of what to give someone you care about.

Higher Price Does NOT Mean Higher Quality

I have been using a relatively inexpensive ($30) griddle that I bought from a large department store for a single purpose, to cook sourdough pancakes at family gatherings. This is a 'BIG' production for me and I have been disappointed by my current griddle as it has definite hot and cold spots resulting in pancakes that are varying shades of brown.

I was looking for a QUALITY griddle with even temps, and figured that if I paid twice as much I would get much more even temps, and that is NOT necessarily so. Based on a sample of 1 (so your experience may be completely different) I did not find this griddle to be a good value.

I was pleased that Cooking.com gave me a refund for the griddle when I returned it, I need to note that I spent more on (non-refundable) shipping charges associated with my purchase than I did on my original griddle! The joys of buying over the Internet...

Love making pancakes now!

I am very happy with the grill. My husband is making pancakes as I type this and with 3 boys, I know this will get much use. The griddle cooks very evenly and quickly.

Nice size

I had read a rating on this product and it lived up to expectations. Surface heated evenly. I thought it might be too large, but even two people can eat six pancakes and six slices of bacon which I was able to cook at the same time.

I bought this item about 3 weeks ago and have used it everyday , sometimes twice a day. I love it, I have a very expensive electric stove that is really hard to keep clean, this griddle heats up fast, cooks great, and is a breeze to keep clean. I am buying another one for a friends birthday. I would encourage anyone that has doubts about getting this griddle to stop doubting and buy one, they're great.

The griddle heats quickly and evenly. I especially like thae fact that there are no hot or cool spots that can cause problems during cooking.

Our pancakes were done faster

This is a terrific electric griddle which was bought primarily for making pancakes easier & faster. It heats up fast and cooks evenly allowing more pancakes to be produced faster. The clean-up was easy but I haven't found the best space to store it yet so I'm thinking of using it as a base for a table centerpiece (tee hee). I don't know if I'll use it to fry bacon because of the splatter going all over the kitchen as opposed to just on the oven top using a frying pan.

Worth the wait

I had to wait for this griddle since it was on back order, but it was certainly worth the wait. Heats quickly and evenly (I made English muffins from scratch on it). Rather sturdy, too, I recently found out: came home to find that the cat had knocked it off the counter. A bit bruised, but still works just fine!

I ordered this product to replace a cheaper one bought one year ago. The West Bend griddle has great release of pancakes which is the main use of it right now. I'm very pleased and would highly recommend it to anyone else.

my other griddle broke two legs and I was looking for something similar and found an almost identical griddle here... everything turns out great on it. Mostly make things like french toast and pancakes and such...

Good griddle for the price

This griddle is great if you need quick heating and quick cleanup. The griddle gets hot immediately and stays hot. The non-stick surface makes it easy to get food on and off. The fact that this is dishwasher safe blows my mind, however, the one I purchased is too long and will not fit. Regardless of that, cleanup is quick and easy anyway. The only "complaint" and it's not much of one is that the drip tray is a bit loose and you have to keep sliding it in as it slips out. Some sort of mechanism to keep it in place would have been nice. Overall, great griddle for the money.

I am very pleased with this griddle. In other reviews I read about uneven browning, but I have not found that to be the case. I am able to fit eight pancakes on the griddle--it is a little tight with eight but not enough of a difficulty for me to encourage you to spend fifty more dollars for a bigger griddle.

Wonderful product

Love the way the heat is evenly distributed. It was great to have pancakes for the entire family ready at the same time. So glad I made this purchase and chose this product. I am very happy with my selection!!!
