It is just the right size for a family of two. I like the stainless steel because it is easy to clean. Makes really good mashed potatoes. Now even my husband likes to get the mash potatoes ready.

I saw this product on a TV show - so I figured I would try it out. I use it to make mashed potatoes. IT is AWESOME!!! It makes the best mashed potatoes with no lumbs of course and it is so easy to clean - right in the dishwasher.

I was watching food network one day and the chef (Alton Brown), said that the key to making good hash browns was making sure the potatoes were dry. He was absolutely right! and this by far is the best product to make that happen!

Potato Ricer

by NANCY, CA
July 7, 2010

My mother in law always used one and she had the best tasting mashed potatoes I've ever had. I have looked for a long time for one that I thought was worth purchasing. I bought this one for a wedding shower gift and the bride loves it. I bought myself the larger ricer since I have more people to prepare for. I am very pleased with both of them and highly reccommend them. You will be very surprised at how much better your mashed potatoes (or mashed anything) looks, tastes and impresses your family and guests.

I received this as a gift and immediately made some smashed potatoes for dinner. It was easy to use and it made excellent textured potatoes. After using it I just tossed it into the dishwasher and it came out very clean with no extra effort.

Once you use a ricer for mashed sweet or irish potatoes, you'll never want to use a regular masher again. I only wish they made it in a larger size.

This is a dandy way to make mashed potatoes. The Grandkids are eager to help and find it fun to use. They also like the compliments for fixing creamy, smooth mashed potatoes. Easy to clean. Nice addition for the kitchen.

Excellent quality. It is slightly overpriced online esp. with shipping charges; check your local large department chains first.
