No waiting for a big pot of water to boil. Cook pasta to al dente perfection in the microwave! Saves time, energy and water. Use with spaghetti, fettuccini, macaroni, lasagna noodles, rotini and more! Features water level guides on the container which indicate the exact amount of water to add. There are measuring holes in the lid, to precisely determine exact serving sizes therefore eliminating guessing and unused pasta. The lid also functions as a colander for straining.
Conventional stove-top cooking requires approximately 20 minutes to boil water and approximately 10 minutes to cook pasta while stirring, sampling and stirring to determine when it’s done.
Fasta Pasta™ cooks pasta in 15 minutes or less, depending on serving size, without cook intervention to stir, sample and stir. Fasta Pasta™ is great for making pasta salads, spaghetti, linguini, lasagna noodles, a variety of vegetables and more. Fast Pasta has also tested non-starch based pastas (soy) and they cook perfectly in Fasta Pasta™. Because the cooker’s environment is “engineered” it’s very precise and perfect for cooking soy, rice, corn, and wheat based pastas.
No stirring, sampling or cook intervention during the cooking process
Includes a cooking chart that specifies exact cooking times for all your favorite pastas
I bought this on a whim as i was ordering something else and did not expect to be won over. But I have to say, it is a pretty handy gadget. I love that I am using less water and one less dish, and I can easily make pasta for two in no time at all. I was one of those people who thought cooking pasta in a pot of water was as easy as cooking gets, but this is even easier! Saves time, water, and clean-up.
This is a very handy device for cooking pasta. It's both quick and efficient and makes for easy clean up. Also, by cooking pasta in the microwave, it frees up extra space on the stove top while cooking the pasta sauce. There is no difference in flavor from cooking in the microwave, it's much quicker and you can strain the pasta from the cooker, which is easier than straining it with a colander. I would highly recommend this product if you like pasta!
quite an idea. It worked as the directions stated and the pasta was done perfectly with absolutely no spill over. Couldn't believe it was not stuck together as the cooking did not call for any butter or oil to prevent sticking.
I just used the pasta cooker today and it works great and is exactly what I needed. I know boiling a pot of water for pasta is not hard, but this speeds up the process and makes it a little less painless. The instructions of what to do and how to use the product were also very clear.
I was quite anxious to try this cooker out. I used it to cook spaghetti and was very pleased with results. I found the finished product to be no different than that cooked in the normal way. The benefit is in things like time, no need to be constantly watching, kitchen not steaming up, and clean up.
This is great for small families or people with small kitchens. The pasta cooker will make about 3/4 of a 1lb. box of spaghetti, or 3 cups dry pasta (ie/penne, shells). Includes directions and cooking chart. It takes a few minutes longer than boiling on the stove. The lid can be used as a measurer and strainer. I love that there are no big pots/strainers to lift and wash, and it doesn't steam up the kitchen. I liked it so much, I bought another one for my Mom to use in her RV.
I've used it to make pasta and mashed potatoes. Using the Pasta Cooker is a time saver for me because my electric stovetop takes so long to heat. Cleanup is a whiz. It would be great for an RV, dorm room, or any compact kitchen.
The Fasta Pasta Cooker takes the bother out of pasta cooking. No large pots to handle anymore. Pasta is perfectly cooked. Great for singles, couples and small families. Tucks right into the dishwasher for easy clean up. I plan on giving all my adult children a Fasta Pasta cooker for Christmas.
The product may be good for someone in such a hurry, that they cannot wait for water to boil;.. Otherwise, it takes less than 10 min to cook some pasta, once the water is boiling. I usually start the water boiling as I start making, or warming up a sauce, or making a salad, or other side dish.
I should say that I haven't used it yet. I thought it'd be quick, and saving me washing the pot, but that only takes a minute, or two anyway. I didn't see that it would take so long to cook the pasta, before I bought it. I plan to keep it, since it would cost more to return. I can give it to someone as a gift. People do hate some of my gifts.
Loved this product - easy to handle with no chance of mishap. Wonderful to have the extra cooking space and ability to fit in with a full menu. Or simply to cooki up some pasta without all the kettles, etc.
Wouldn't mind a pasta cooker with larger capacity.
