Nothing like having the fluffiest mashed potatoes on your dinner plate and ricing potatoes is the only way to go. I originally purchased the smaller potato ricer which I loved. I had been looking for one for a long time. My Mother had always used a potato ricer but as time goes by some of these "old" kitchen assets go by the wayside. I love them. Thank you for having a bigger one. I would recommend potato ricers to everyone who loves their mashed potatoes very fluffy. Thank you!!

I read through the reviews before buying this and people were complaining about the need for hand strength. Just cut through the big ones and don't over fill the basket and you will be fine.
Just lay the potato ricer across the top of your pot -- it fits right in because there is a groove on the front that snicks into the edge of the pot. Just put in the potato and press down on the top handle.
The device works as advertised and cleans up nice in the dishwasher. You will need to use a large drawer for storage!
The ricer gives your mashed potatoes a fantastic texture. Use Yukon Golds to give it a more
This ricer is well made, large and works very well. Potatoes are smooth after going through the ricer.............easy to use, quickly ricing 5 lbs of potatoes! Buy this, don't go cheap............it's worth the $$.

Others the handles make your hands very sore as they don't all have the savers on the ends and it isn't as messy ricing as some I have used. You spend more time with some picking out potatoes that fall out or squeeze thru the top when you need to add more food to rice. Betty Crocker has always been a good name and one you can trust. They were very prompt at getting the order shipped and arriving on schedule. I have already recommended you to my friends.

It sits on top of your pot so you can get great leveage on the handles and process the potatoes without much hand strength. Because of it's large basket I can process about 5lbs of boiled potatoes in 3 or 4 ricer loads. Really much faster than a smaller ricer, especially when cooking for a group!
I was concerned about the fact that the output holes are much larger than the previous ricer I owned. Not to worry, it breaks up the potato just right and allows a smooth, creamy texture.
It also cleans really easily, and DOESN'T come apart into pieces, so you don't have to worry about loosing hinge pins or other parts.
I highly recommend this device, and gave away my old one!
