powdered sugar shaker

I've always wanted one of these tools to have handy in my kitchen. Without it, the idea of getting out the box or bag of confectioner's sugar and then trying to dust something with it is just too much work.
Now it's handy and ready whenever I decide to use it.

Good Product

The shaker works well. Make sure that the top is latched on securely and you should have no problems with the top coming off with the cap.

Not Meant For Powdered Sugar!

I ordered this shaker so that we could lightly sprinkle powdered sugar on waffles etc.
It appears to be well-made with a snug plastic cap. Perhaps the mesh is too fine because it does not allow powdered sugar to come through easily. You must slam it which defeats the purpose as powdered sugar ends up everywhere.

Exactly the right shaker

THis shaker is what I was looking for to use with sugar, powdered sugar and flour. It is a fine mesh so when shaken does create a fine even coaing - perfect for sugar cookies and powdered sugar on bundt cakes. The stainless steel construction is excellent. There is a plastic cover that must be turned and pulled off that takes a little getting used to. However, this shaker is the best one I have found and definitely one I recommend.

The concept is so wonderful. I have been looking for a shaker such as this WITH a lid. Unfortunately the lid was EVER SO TIGHT, it was sooooo hard to get off and on.

Another Great Baking Accessory

Love this shaker. I filled it with powdered suger and since it has a plastic cap I can store the sugar there to use over and over for brownies, lemon bars, french toast, etc. It's a great addition to my kitchen and a product I found only at the Food Network Store.

After many months of searching, I finally found the perfect Fine Mesh Shaker. Perfect for a fine dusting and super great that I can store flour and/or powdered sugar in it and have it ready whenever I need it.

A necessary piece of equipment and reasonably priced. Dishwasher safe, too.

Perfect shaker for topping off your Bundt cakes with cocoa or powdered sugar. Also great for sifting small amounts of corn starch ( for smooth gravies, etc.). Good buy.

Disappointed

The stainless cover lock is inadequate. When attempting to remove the plastic lid, which fits quite tightly, the stainless cover comes off with it.

They are a little hard to open and close. But they work

great lil kitchen helper

This shaker holds plenty of sugar or cocoa. Use it to hold flour to make quick work of dusting baking pans. The price makes it easy to have a couple on hand to make your prep or serving easier. A great little product for the cost.
