Expand your recipe repertoire with this multifunctional electric Cuisinart griddler. Open up the 12.5-inch x 9.5-inch grill to create a set of flat griddle surfaces perfect for making pancakes, bacon and fried eggs; then flip the plates to reveal the grooved side and turn the unit into a contact grill when you're ready to cook burgers or steaks. The floating cover can be pressed down to the perfect height when you're grilling, or it can be used to create evenly heated paninis. This unit has two temperature dials, so you can control the heat levels of each of the two plates separately, and the grill drains grease away to make cooked food healthier. An instruction manual is included to give you even more meal ideas you can make with the griddler. When you're done cooking, this Cuisinart griddler makes the cleanup process simple. The nonstick cooking plates are removable and dishwasher safe, so you can simply pop them out and wash them with your regular dishes. The integrated drip tray captures stray drips, so there's no need for a separate drip bowl and you don’t need to worry about stray grease on your countertop. The unit comes with a dishwasher-safe scraping tool to remove browned bits from the grill or griddle surface. The outer housing is made of brushed stainless steel that can easily be wiped down after each use.

  • This grill is FANTASTIC! It exceeded my expectations. I love that you can use it open or closed and that it can be used as a grill or griddle. The best part is that the plates come off for easy cleaning. I had another grill that was tough to clean so this one is great.

    I recommend this product.

  • This grill rocks!

I saw the ads on TV and knew we wanted to try it. We have several non-electric grill pans and although we are pleased with the cooking result, the cleanup is less than a stellar experience. We have a Circulon where things stick not only to the grooves but the circular pattern. We have a Le Creuset cast iron that needs a lot of scrubbing and you're not supposed to use soap! The same holds true for the Lodge grill that covers two burners on my cooktop.

The Griddler gets very hot and cooks very quickly and evenly. Cleanup is a snap! We haven't needed to put the grids in the dishwasher either since they are so easy to clean. I just wish there were more recipes and detailed instructions about how long to estimate cooking times and what temperatures to use.

    I recommend this product.

  • Good kitchen item

In the uses I've had so far, this griddler has done nicely, although I'm still learning the nuances of the grills temperature settings. It seems to need a bit less on the settings than one would think. One can always 'undercook' and add a bit more time, but set the temperature too high and it will quickly overcook food items. Temperature across the grill or griddle seems uniform, no 'hot' or 'cool' spots but I do seem to note a variance between the top element heat and bottom, but this is dealt with when I turn food over. If you're cooking pannini though you wouldn't tend to flip an item, so uniform appearance might necessitate a flip. Cleanup is easy with the unit and the removable grill/griddle plates are really nice.

    I recommend this product.

  • Just OK

Was disappointed. Was not at all what I expected. I can't say I find anything to tout. But it does work. Just not the way I expected.

  • The Griddler

I got these for my children for Christmas. They are college students in an apartment of their own, and they absolutely love them! My son enjoys making different sandwiches, and the easy cleanup is great. He says the Griddler made the best turkey quesadilla he has ever had! Thanks for a great product..

Finally a griddle, Panninni press, and flat unit for frying eggs etc. We use often, not having to cook on the large stove.

  • Great Product

I am very happy with my purchase. This product does what Cuisinart claims. Cooks food fast. Meat tastes like it was grilled on a barbeque. Grilled sandwiches cook evenly and fast. Non stick plates remove for easy clean up. I can't say enough about this.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great Product

I love this product. I got it as a Xmas present and so far have had great luck cooking sandwiches, steak, burgers, browning burger buns! Its great. I have used the grilling side more and its a little tricky to clean in between the grooves but you are provided a tool for helping with that. I have not yet run the plates through the dish washer, but maybe I'll do it next time. I did have a panini press which I passed on to a friend. This is much better, larger and great temperature control. The panini press I passed on did have waffle plates, and it would be fun if there were that option here. Maybe Cuisinart will come up with that as an accessory! That would make this perfect.

    I recommend this product.

  • Griddler Fun

Sorry, I don't have time to write a review! I am having so much fun making (and eating) squushy sandwiches (as my daughter calls them) on my griddler that I may never come out of my kitchen again!

This grill has been beter than I expected. It doesn't feel like a solid machine but it is sturdy and has a high heat capacity. I have used it for pancakes, paninis, and even steaks.

  • Cuisinart is OK

Personally I think it’s a little over priced for what it is. If it was made in the USA I could see the price, but made in CHINA? Owners’ manual could be in more detail. But overall I would give it a 8 on a scale of 10.

  • Versatile and easy to clean

This griddle is perfect for many types of meals. My favorite thing about it is how easy it is to clean and the small amount of counter space needed.
The fact that you can take the plates off for cleaning and the off/on switch makes this a great improvement over more well-known indoor grills.

  • Best grill yet...

I've owned 3 other grill / griddles, and this one is superior.
Perfect heat on both sides and the grill plates are easy to deal with.
It makes pancakes like a champ, and my paninis are always
seared to perfection. Worth every penny. :-)

  • A Great Utility!

This grill is the perfect size for an uncluttered counter top. It heats quickly and evenly. Clean up is a breeze with the removable plates! I hand wash, which seems more efficient than waiting for a dishwasher load. I've used it a least one time every day. In fact, preparing a great snack using this utility is so easy, it's become an automatic, conditionioned reflect at our house.

    I recommend this product.

  • Like the product with one exception

I'm pretty basic in my grilling needs. Hamburgers, boneless pork chops.
Have tried the griddle once - was just fine. I've made ham and cheese sandwiches using the panini function - yum. Tried a reuben last night. I think I have to perfect my technique - sandwich was little soggy. The only complaint I have about the product is that it is difficult to clean between the grids when I grill hamburgers. I usually wash the griddle plates by hand. Haven't tried them in the dishwasher yet. The plastic tool is fine for getting large pieces of residue out of the way - not to get the grids absolutely clean, even after soaking in hot, soapy water. I really have to work to get between each grid to get the residue. I was surprised at how light the grill and griddle plates are compared to my last griddle. Overall, I like the product.

    I recommend this product.
