    Our second one

On our first the burr grinder quit working, two months after warranty expired. If it happens to this one also then this product will not be a good buy or a good value. If the grinder holds up then this coffee maker is awesome and the keeps coffee hot for hours.

At this point it is a wait and see item for me

    Fabulous Coffee Maker

    by Patti, PA
    January 4, 2012

We bought this coffee maker after our Braun died after many years. We wanted to have a thermal carafe and grinder and this product really fit the bill.

So far, we are experiencing ease of use, quick brewing, tasty coffee, fast and easy clean up. We haven't used the grinder yet, but hoping to do so soon. We expect that it will also be a great experience.

The site was a breeze to order from and we are looking forward to many tasty years of coffee from our Cuisineart product, of which we have many.

A little pricey, but in terms of cost per use, we expect it to be a value over the long term.

    Thanks,
    Patti R., Yardley, PA

Old one better, not a good buy

    by Deborah, TN

The machine will not sufficiently drop the beans into the grinder. I have to choose 12 cup grinding to make 8 cups, and even that is not the best coffee. I can push them into the hopper when grinding, but that negates the whole idea of keeping the other beans fresh for the next grinding. I've tried about ten pots, experimenting different methods. I'm about ready to toss this thing out.

Great Burr Coffee Grind & Brew

    by Charlotte, AR
    October 31, 2009

I thought the price was great considering we'd paid over that much last Christmas for a gift burr grinder alone. Already knew the Cuisenart Coffeemaker was good since our daughter had one. Easy to learn how to operate. Wonderful aroma and coffee which stays hot all morning in the carafe -- longer if we didn't drink it all!

It works well. It is a little hard to keep clean, but once you get used to it, the other features are very convenient. Overall, this is a good product, but I am a bit concerned that the longevity may be questionable.

Cuisinart makes the best products and the Coffeemaker is no exception. It fully performs to our expectation and, coupled with some quality coffee, makes the perfect cup of java.

    Very Nice.

So far we are pleased. We had another brand of Grind & Brew for several years and it finally pooped out. This one has improved features, easier to clean, set time to brew the next morning. All you have to do at night is program the time you want coffee the next morning (easy) Select the cup quantity by turning
knob, fill with appropriate water (it also has a water filter built in). The next morning, VIOLA'!! GREAT COFFEE...
It also keeps coffee hot for up to 10 hours just in the thermal pot, no warming plate! Can't say that it's any quieter than the old one though. I love that it stores and keeps fresh 1/2 pound of beans at a time. That lasts us about a week to two. We do see some fine grounds in our mugs from time to time. The directions say you can buy paper filters or just use the built in one. I think I might try the paper filters to see if it improves that issue. Over all, we love it. With the beans we're using right now, the coffe seems to be stronger than norm and we've had to back our strength selection to mild. But you can adjust with each pot according to beans used and/or preferrances.

    Cuisinart Finally Got It Right!

    by Anthony, TX
    May 14, 2008

I've been using a previous model of the this coffee maker for almost 4 ears. About a year ago the grinder stopped working. I read various reviews on the newer model, and they were mixed. Most complained about the pot not retaining the heat. I finally broke down and bought one, and I'm very satisfied. The clean up is much better than they previous model I owned, but there is still a daily 5 minute clean-up needed. In my opinion, this pot keeps the coffee hot for 3 hours. Perhaps they fixed that issue in 08.

The BURR grinder does produce smoother tasting coffee. I was surprised at how strong a pot this can produce. I drink my coffee strong and black, and for the first 3 days I backed off the strength until I found the right strenght.

Great coffee maker, the coffee tastes very fresh and it's easy to use. I did prefer to use the paper filters instead of the filter that comes with the maker because of the residue of coffee grinds left in the coffee. I do like that you can select the strength of the coffee. Overall it's a little more expensive then most coffee makers, but makes great coffee, and it's convenient to grind and brew at the same time.

The old thermal carafe poured easier and kept the coffee hot longer. But over all this is a good product for the price.

Best coffee maker out there. Love the ease of use, consistently great coffee, no messing with the beans or grinds, no measuring, easy to clean. I use the 4-cup setting in the morning & it is great coffee. It holds 1/2 pound of beans in the airtight holder, when I need to make more, it is simply a matter of putting in the right amount of water & setting the cups. Mostly use it on the

    Makes Great Coffee....

    by Jennifer, CT
    January 19, 2008

We purchased this coffee maker as a replacement to our original Cuisinart Grind and Brew machine whose grinder was starting to show its age. I was a little apprehensive about spending so much money on a coffee maker but it was so worth it. I love the insulated carafe, which keeps the coffee warm for much longer than the old glass carafe.

Great variety for selecting the strength of the coffee. Would definitely recommend. Great product for the coffee conessur.
