    A lot of work for a one-unit grind/drip

    by Karen, NH
    July 21, 2009

I read all the reviews I could find on this reasonably-priced all-in-one grind fresh beans and make a great cup of coffee rig. For the price it is well worth it. However, cleaning it is a bear! It's not enough to rinse and dry all the various parts (6) each time you use it. There are nicks and crannies you need to work at; especially under the grinder blades. I haven't come up with a suitable way to clean it efficiently!

The water level reader is on the inside which makes it a bit hard to read, and the bean holder must be removed in order to be filled, but aside from that, it is a well built appliance and makes great coffee.

    GOOD MACHINE BUT HAS ISSUES

    by Cynthia, CA
    December 7, 2011

We replaced our old Cuisinart after a six year run. I thought it would be great to be able to grind beans for that fresh brewed flavor. However, I didn't realize you have to program the machine each and every time you make a pot of coffee. And while it comes apart easy enough, getting into the nooks and crannies to clean the grounds out is a little tedious. And you HAVE to clean it after each use.

The coffee itself is good, actually, very good. But truthfully, for all the hassles, I don't know that I would buy this product again.

This item is very easy to use and produces good results. The only drawback is that it is a little difficult to access areas to clean around the brew basket. Cuisinart manufactures good products.

    Grind & Brew by Cuisinart

This is our 2nd Cuisinart Grind & Brew coffee maker. There is nothing like fresh ground, fresh brewed coffee...While this coffee maker can be time consuming to clean, it is so worth it. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

    Best Coffee Maker Ever

    by Mary, FL
    July 31, 2007

We have been using this coffee maker for about 2 weeks. It makes the best coffee and is so easy to use and to clean. Other reviews stated that the grinder is very loud. That is true and that would be the only complaint if there was one. My husband and I love coffee and love using this coffee maker - we get a good cup everytime.

Works well. Makes a great cup of coffee. Good looking too. $40.00 cheaper than Macy's and $20.00 cheaper than Bed, Bath and Beyond.

So, high marks for the coffee pot and high marks for Cooking.com!!

Sounds like it's taking off during the grind process (good for startling guests), but the end result is delicious coffee

I am pleased with my grinder/coffee maker combo. The real test will be in it's durability. I have had it approx. 1 month.

I previously owed the older grind and brew model which i loved -this one is much easier to clean and not as loud. It is so easy to use and more compact. Also it makes 12 cups rather than just 10 cups.

Great coffeemaker/grinder. Super easy to clean. Doesnt' have a variable grind control, that'd be nice.

    Looks Great

I like the fact that this coffeemaker grinds beans, but don't like that it's not set for auto brew. When I forget to push the On/Off button, the grind feature kicks in (usually scaring me!). I will have to re-read the brochure again. Maybe I missed something. . It brews the coffee just fine, though.

We love the coffee maker. The coffee taste fresh grinding the beans. The coffee stays HOT and that is very important to us. Easy to make and easy to clean.
A coffee lover's dream. I order two by mistake. I showed the book to a friend and she bought the coffee maker from me to give her brother for Xmas.

I don't cook alot but I bake alot giving many baked goods throughout the year.

The Cuisinart Grind and Brew makes delicious coffee with preground beans. It's easy to operate and clean. I love the fact that it has a replaceable water filter since we have very hard water. My only complaint is that it does not hold enough beans, nor does it grind them finely enough to make coffee from beans. I'm going to try a stronger flavor coffee bean and hope the coffee is as good as it is with the preground beans. (I had originally planned to wait to write a review until after doing that.)

    1. The water indicator is very difficult ro read. I must use a flashlight to see water level. Twice I over filled it and had a mess!!

It takes a little time to clean it every day. It is a lot larger than my old grind and brew coffee maker in which the element burned out. Would like to find a 4 or 5 cup grind and brew like my old one.
on this grind and brew (the one I bought from you) I really like the programing feature.
