this wooden spoon looks like it is of good quality but the spoon is too small, i was expecting that it would be bigger.

I have broken many cheaply made wooden spoons incorporating ingredients into cookie dough and other stiff mixtures. This H.A. Mack spoon is lightweight, but definitely has strength to it. While mixing oatmeal cookie dough, I did not get a sense I was going to break the spoon. I’d recommend this spoon to others who like to mix it up.

I have had a hard time finding a good wooden spoon that was not splintery. This is perfect and I like how deep the spoon is.

I know it seems weird to be excited about a spoon - but this spoon really is wonderful - it is sturdy, does not stain easily, and is actually very "pretty" - it is a nice looking spoon. It is really heavy duty and so it makes a nice gift - they come in different sizes although I don't thing I was able to get the really long size on this website.

Super value for the bucks...this spoon is wonderful for sauces, saute, stir fry and even mixing thinner batters. The 12 inch length is perfect for a multitude of kitchen tasks and is easy to hold. I love all the H.A. Mack mixing spoons. Get them in various lengths...you won't be sorry. Easy to clean, does not stain or scratch surfaces.

Great spoon!

I use this spoon constantly. It's perfect for anything and the extra long handle is great for stirring in a taller container (eg. a pitcher of iced tea in the summer!) This is a great value--I should buy a few more!

Nice weight, good sized spoon. Works very well for stirring in a saute pan or mixing dough. Wash up well too.

no over coat

by Lucinda, OH
September 16, 2007

the only bad thing about this spoon is that the wood gets very dry once you wash it. it does not have the over coat protection on it. if i was you i would put out the extra buck and buy a spoon with a over coat layer.

sturdier than I expected, for the price. I do somewhat prefer a more spatula-shaped spoon, but this is a nice alternative.

Wonderful Spoon

Beechwood spoons are great. They are beautiful, sturdy, and very long-lasting. My last one is more than 10 years old. The long handle makes stirring big pots of soup, sauce, and pasta very easy.

Reasonable density on handle so it won't break quite as easily as others might.
