The rivet in my previous tongs rusted out and I purchased these to replace them. I'm sorry I didn't buy these years ago. They work great. I have non-stick cookware and these work wonderfully when searing meat and the longer version works great on the grill.

OXO Tongs Well Built

The 12 in Tongs by OXO are a little long for my uses. I prefer the 11 in tongs. However they are well built and easy to use. I have some without the coated heads that I have had in use for years and they are just as reliable as the day I started using them. The locking device is easy to use and they clean up very nicely. The coated heads are nice because food does not stick to them.

Large Nonstick Locking Tongs

The 12-in. nonstick locking tongs by OXO is a great addition to my many different tongs. This is the only nonstick one that I own. It is very useful with my nonstick wok and other nonstick pans. It's a little heavy but I guess this indicates the good quality. I was so glad to find a tong that is nonstick because of the many scratches from my other tongs. I hope to find some different sizes of nonstick tongs.

like that the Tongs are teflon safe, but prefer if they are self locking

I should have read the fine print. It's got plastic coated tips, not silicone. Otherwise it works fine.

I would take of half a point since the material on the end of the tongs started to melt and fringe a bit while I was grilling asparagus and steaks on the grill, but it may just be because the grill was heated to an insane amount of heat. Anyways the grips are very comfortable and provide excellent leverage over those cheap metal tongs that you can get for a few dollars. I bought this with the Calphalon nonstick pan set since I didn't want to scratch the surface of the pans.

great tongs for nonstick surfaces. i also have the regular ones and the 16-inch tongs-which are great for grilling

These tongs are great. I needed something for my nonstick. I love the way the lock and fit great in drawer. They are easy to use and easy to handle.

I thought the tongs were a great value as they performed well. I was pleased with their weight and hand-feel. Also, I really appreciated the ease with which the open-close mechanism functioned!

Tong that work

These are great tongs. I have only found one little issue and that is with cleaning. Where the plastic meets the metal, there are places where food can get trapped -- so it means a bit extra working of the sponge. Otherwise, it's great to cook with and the locking mechanism in the back is a dream. Worth the money
