I haven't used this product yet, but I know the next time I bake and want to zest some fruit, I'm definitely happy I have this on hand to use.

    Zester Grater

All the microplanes are wonderful, but this one is particularly useful as it is quite narrow and can be used easily for ginger and garlic as well as citrus. I gave one of these as a gift a few years ago, and it has been treasured.

    It's the best.

I understand all the five-star reviews. I have been using a standard grater/zester for years and had read about this and seen it on cooking shows. Finally bought one (love the free shipping, by the way), and I see what the fuss is about. It works flawlessly. Tried a side-by-side comparison with my old one, on both a frozen lemon and a particularly hard hunk of parmesan reggiano. The Microplane grated/zested so much more than the old one, and with minimal effort. Plus it is about twice the length so you can grate in long strokes. Great product.

I had to become accustumed to this "helper" because I am arthritic and would sometimes press too hard.I really like it now!!! I wish you sold one made by the same company that was 6". The two of them would meet almost all our needs for precise grating!!!

    A bit difficult to use

    by Glenda , FL
    March 22, 2013

I've used this a couple of times now, and I can't seem to get the zest from the underside of the device. On TV it looks so easy. Maybe I should have bought one of the larger ones I've seen. This one tends to trap the zest in the curled under sides.

I like the idea of having two tools in one. I'm divorced, so I do not cook as much as I used to. I love kitchen tools due to being quick and easy.

    Zester Grater

    by Art, TN
    September 2, 2012

The zester worked amazingly well. It is very sharp and you must be careful how you use it or you will leave some skin in your zest. A most enjoyable product!

    Fast zesting!

    by Doris, CA
    July 9, 2012

This is the first zester I have purchased that really delivers... I can get at least a tablespoon of lemon or orange zest (depending on fruit size of course) with almost no effort at all. The zesters I used to buy would not deliver the zest and I broke one trying to pound the zest out of it.
This zester the zest just falls into the bowl...wonderful!
