If you've always wanted to try cooking with the legendary quality of Calphalon cookware, this Simply Calphalon 12-inch everyday pan is a great one to start with. You’ll experience firsthand the even cooking and easy cleanup that make Calphalon justifiably popular. You will put this fantastic pan through its paces in so many ways - from stovetop to oven to table - that it will truly earn its name as an "everyday" pan. And if you already have Calphalon cookware, consider adding this fantastic pan to your collection for its versatility and good looks.

The gracefully designed Calphalon pan will soon become your absolute favorite for every cooking task from sauteing to oven roasting. Take it directly from the oven to the table, where it does double duty as a serving vessel for paella, casseroles, stews or roasted vegetables. The silicone coated stainless steel handles make the pan easy to handle and are double riveted for safety.

The hard-anodized aluminum body spreads heat evenly, so foods cook without scorching or hotspots, even when you’ve filled the pan nearly to its ample capacity. The 4.5-inch height pan adds a domed glass lid, so the interior can fit a small chicken or roast surrounded by potatoes or vegetables. Pop the whole thing into the oven, and you’ve got an entire meal in one easy to clean pan. The pan is oven safe to 400 F/ 200 C for total versatility.

The clear tempered glass lid lets you see what’s going on inside the pot without having to lift the lid, so you can lock in all the delicious flavors. The artful curve of the lid automatically returns steam back to the food, so whatever you cook turns out mouth-wateringly moist and delicious.

It’s best to hand-wash this pan to preserve its good looks and nonstick interior coating. Foods slide right off, so it’s easy to clean. You’ll want to stick to nylon, wood or coated utensils to ensure that the coating doesn’t get scratched, because you’ll want to keep this pan around forever.

This everyday pan is versatile enough to use for sauteeing, simmering, browning and for cooking entire meals. It's a great substitute for authentic paella pans and it's nice enough to go from stovetop or oven to table. Two side handles make it easy to carry. See-through glass lid allows you to check progress of simmering food.

Good solid pan for the money

    by Marly, FL
    June 2, 2011

I bought this pan to replace a 13 inch pan we had that used to be my husband's favorite. The only reason I did not give a 5 is because the handles get hot quickly and if you don't pay attention you can get get your fingers in trouble. It has silicone handles but it does not cover the entire handle so it is not as good as it could be. I don't know if the handle is too small for the pan, meaning it is too close to the bottom of the pan and of the pan itself, but heat travels rather quickly to the handles. Other than this issue, the pan is a good every day value. It cleans easily. I love to cook fried rice, omelets, even pancakes and fried cheese. Food slides out easily too.

    Calphalon Pan Review

    by Jane, OK
    January 10, 2011

The pan arrived in great condition. It was a christmas gift for my daughter. She has since told me she doesn't want to use any other pan, either on stovetop or in the oven. Loves the way foods cook evenly, loves that cleanup is a breeze. We are very happy with this product. I purchased this from the Kraft website for approx. 40% of the retail price. Couldn't be happier with that!!

    Love it

I love this pan. The only things I would change are the handles. The silver parts get very hot. Also, it requires two hands to pour food out of the pan since there is no long handle.

I had to purchase this product in the store because when it was delivered it was stolen from my doorstep. The mailman delivered it and he said he knocked on the door but we didn't hear him knock so in the meantime someone stole it. All the mailman has to do is knock on the door and if no one comes to the door all he has to do is leave it. I don't think that is right because bigger packages should be taken back to the post office and delivered on another day.

    Calphalons continues their success!

    by Janice, IL
    April 30, 2011

This pan meets and exceeds expectations. It is a great size, has clear lid for visibility during cooking, has even heating, 2 handles for ease in moving to table or platter/bowl.

It is also a dream to clean up after use.

Pan was not the quality I expected

    by Kimberley, NY
    March 13, 2012

I purchased the everyday 10 inch skillet and it is fabulous. Decided to try the 12 inch everyday pan and thought they were the same material and from the same line of Calphalon. However this pan is very light and really cheap. Not sure the coating will even last. Very disappointed. I should have known the price was too good to be true. My advice. Check the line you are purchasing from Calphalon, the Simply Calphalon is not worth the money. Very cheaply made. Go for a better grade. They are worth every penney.

This pan is the perfect size for most things that I choose to cook. I also like the fact that there are no long handles to mess with when I store the pan. This is my all time favorite pan!

    Wonderful pan

    by danielle, FL
    January 16, 2011

I use this pan everyday, and absolutely love it! I got the 10" about 5 years ago and it is still in great shape, love it so much I got the 12" . I was skeptical of the quality due to the low price, but that's not an issue. It is a very high quality piece of cookware at a bargain price.

    Great, only one drawback

    by Carol, PA
    February 23, 2011

This is a nice heavy quality pan for the price. It heats and cooks fast! Does not warp like others I've had. Only drawback is that the heatproof coating on the handles does not completely cover the handles. I repeatedly burn my fingers by grabbing the non-covered part. This would be a five star rating if Calphalon would just add a little extra coating to completely cover the handles.

Light weight pan, heavy duty performance!!

    by Vicki, WA
    March 13, 2011

Love this pan. Works like a heavy duty pan, but weighs a lot less. Cleans up easy too! I use hard anodized cookware almost exclusively anymore. I love this line of Calphalon because it is a lighter than most.

    Love this Pan!

    by Linda, SC
    February 21, 2011

I love this pan - I don't even store it - just keep it on top of the stove. It's impressive looking anyway. Great for stir-fry, for a pan full of hamburgers, one-pan-meals, pasta dishes. It does take a lot of room to store. Also a little hard to empty the pan since it needs to be held with both hands, and there's no long handle. But I still recommend it.

    exceptional value

    by Rodney, TX
    March 8, 2011

I have enjoyed cooking for several years now. I had managed to "burn" a favorite "non-stick" skillet I had been using and needed to replace it. I had been shopping around on the net looking for that replacement and saw the "every day pan" listed on Cooking.com. I did some more checking and decided to spring for the extra $10 it would take to upgrade from the adequate Farberware I had been using and am so glad I did. I have recently made some changes in the way I cook and now use it at least twice a day. Nothing I have used previously equals it's performance and ease of cleaning. I will never go back

    Must-Have Pan!

    by Diana, NJ
    March 30, 2011

Bought this pan for its oven-safe feature - I've used it for ribs, chicken, and pork chops in the oven, and everything you can think of on the stovetop............everything turns out delicious and I'm certainly no master chef! Must use oven mitt for the steel parts of the lid and handles - they do get hot. It's a perfect size for my family of 5 for a quick skillet dinner and fits 4 big chicken leg quarters. No complaints - you will find so many uses for this pan!
