Not for flat cooktops.

We have a flat cooktop and the pan does not sit flat on the cooktop. Because it does not sit flat, it turns while stirring and does not heat up evenly. Clean-up is easy. Pan can go in oven. Might be better for gas top stoves.

Excellent purchase

Overall I am very satisfied with this pan. It is durable, easy to use and cooks nicely. The only thing I didn't like was how the lid fit onto the pan, there is too much play. It seals like a typical lid and the handle gets hot with prolonged cooking, referring to the lid, and any condensation flows back into the pan and down the sides as it should. There was no con for the pan itself. It is easy to clean, durable, the handle stays comfortable to the touch and is sturdy. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great pan I use it to pan sear everything from chicken breasts to pork chops and steaks as well! then finish in the oven for low fat quick meals! Not bad as a omlette pan as well.

Love the pan, but scratches very easily.

My husband does most of the cooking in our household. He has used this pan numerous times since we purchased it and has requested a second smaller version.

I've only used my new Omelette Pan once but it was awesome. I was so tired of having eggs stick in my non-stick skillet. This Omelette Pan really IS non-stick!

also because it is hard to find a place for it, due to its size
a bit heavy and unwieldy: that's the only thing i would change
it has a long handle and no grip on the skillet itself to balance it when being moved

The Best of Both Worlds

Great non-stick pan for omlets, but the anodized coating is also great for letting you get a good crust on foods you fry, like chicken! Best all-around pan I have ever used!

Fried chicken

I have 5 pound chickens and when I fry them the skillet is wonderful. I like to brown the chicken and put in the oven to finish cooking and it is nice that the skillet goes right in the oven. The 12 inch size is just perfect.

Ease of cleaning very impressive.

Burned on sugar from frying Honeybaked Ham slices comes off in seconds with a paper towel and water. This skillet has pushed my Circulon "nonstick" skillet into retirement.

Great size, great product. I made a great frittata that went from stovetop to oven and then slid right out of the pan.

Awesome...A Must Have

I love Calphalon, it is the only brand I've ever used. I've been waiting to buy this pan for a while and it has lived up to my expectations and is worth every cent. My only complaint is that this is the second time I've purchased from the company online and each time, the pan has arrived scratched. I expect more from Calphalon and maybe I'll have to only buy in the store from now on.

Nicks and Dings After Shipping

The instructions say nicks and dings are normal so covered themselves with that statement because you WILL have nicks and dings. My pan had several. Since I really love Calphalon cookware I will only buy from a retail store so I can see if there are nicks and dings before I buy!

The Unison line is definitely worth the price difference. I have been buying Calphalon for over 25 years and this finish is a dream. Do use non-metal utensils.

This skillet is a good performer. It heats up well and evenly. With a small spray of vegetable oil/ cooking spray it is really non-stick. The shape of the pan allows for easily tossing food in the pan whether with non-scratch untensils or a flick of the wrist. I liked it so much that I bought pans for my sons and got them in the two smaller sizes ( 8 and 10 inch) for myself. There is nothing better than sliding out your sunnyside eggs onto the plate. If anything sticks, just soak with Dawn Direct Foam for a few minutes and it all slides off. It comes with a see through lid, something I like so that you don't have to uncover to see the level of heat in the pan. For a purchase price of $79.99, it was an excellent deal. If not on sale now, I would wait until it goes back on sale.

Calphalon 12" Nonstick Omelette Pan

This is a great pan. Heats evenly, has just the right amount of weight and I love the glass lid.

non-stick with clear lid

it's bigger than i expected and the handle is a little awkward. however, it's a great pan and it's a good addition to my cooking set. i make a lot of one-pan meals and the clear lid let's you see what's happening without constantly taking a peek.

Product works great. Since the pan has such heft, it needs a helper handle.

Non-stick that doesn't stick!

This is the best non-stick pan I have come across. I have bought several over the years and some just didn't work that well to begin with.

I also like the size, it allows me to do more than with other pans that I have that just don't have the size or heft of this pan.

I really hated to pay what some other non-stick pans can cost when they really won't last much past 5 years or so (for me). With the sale I picked this up on, it was very affordable and always nice to have a lid too!

My teen age son made some ham and cheese sandwiches the other day (shocker) and when my wife was trying to help him with the ingredients and utensils, he said he had to use this pan "Because it's what dad uses and I want these to be just like dads". Of course I got to clean it later, but that went well too.
