We have a flat cooktop and the pan does not sit flat on the cooktop. Because it does not sit flat, it turns while stirring and does not heat up evenly. Clean-up is easy. Pan can go in oven. Might be better for gas top stoves.
Overall I am very satisfied with this pan. It is durable, easy to use and cooks nicely. The only thing I didn't like was how the lid fit onto the pan, there is too much play. It seals like a typical lid and the handle gets hot with prolonged cooking, referring to the lid, and any condensation flows back into the pan and down the sides as it should. There was no con for the pan itself. It is easy to clean, durable, the handle stays comfortable to the touch and is sturdy. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.
Great pan I use it to pan sear everything from chicken breasts to pork chops and steaks as well! then finish in the oven for low fat quick meals! Not bad as a omlette pan as well.

Plain and simple, I'm a cheapskate. My husband calls me "thrifty". Despite this fact, I broke down and purchased some Calphalon pans (12", 10", and 8" omelette pans with lids). Have to say, it's one of the best purchases I've ever made! This pan is fantastic! Cooks evenly, see through lid is a plus, and it cleans up so easily. Much better than traditional "non stick" pans. Take it from the cheapskate, you want these pans! I'll be buying more Calphalon pans in the future.
Bought this 3 years ago, and have been using it (and the smaller 8" skillet) dang near every day ever since (sometimes 2-3x/day) and it's still going strong. Goes into the dishwasher every night. We LOVE it because foods sear well, but don't stick. Quite a heavy pan, so browing is even and there are no hot spots. Have given MANY of this same pan, and several Calphalon UNISON SLIDE pans, as gifts and everyone LOVES them! We gave my son this pan 2 years ago, and he asked for another one this year because they use it so much, they wanted to have 2! He said it's their GO-TO pan, and I have to agree - it's the one pan I use daily and adore!
Williams and Senoma claim the pan is Made in the USA. Granted, the company appears to be US, but I would like to see a clear statement from the company defining the manufacturing point for the pan and their home office: UAS, Canada, China, India???? I try NOT to purchase items from China and India because of low quality - hope I did not make a mistake here.
This is one of several Calphalon Unison pans that we own. They work great when new. The non-stick coating is surprisingly delicate, especially when pans are stacked for storage. We are going to be much more careful with these (never stacking them without a towel in between pans) and see if they last longer. Otherwise, I will be moving on to another brand.
Heavy duty. Heats up fast and evenly -- no hot spots. The cutting-edge non-stick coating is very effective: olive oil beads up in the pan. Only time will tell whether the coating holds up, but right now this skillet is a pleasure to cook with.
Great skillet...I had been holding onto my nasty, old pan because I couldn't find one that I liked as much (that tells you a lot!)
This pan is great. The sides are low enough for you to flip food, but high enough so I could do a quick sauce to go on top of fish, chicken, etc.

I recently purchased several skillets, sauce pans, and a dutch oven in this product line and I love them! This skillet is great and I use it almost every day. It is super easy to clean. I cannot find the words to tell you how great this pan is and it is worth every penny!!! I can't believe that I got it for free. Lucky me and lucky you if you buy one like it.
it's a great pan that fits the bill for most of the dishes i cook for my family. the only thing is that you have to be super careful not to scratch the inside of it w/metal utensils. cooks evenly & clean-up is a breeze.
