Whether your morning meal plans involve a simple frittata, hash brown potatoes or a vegetable-stuffed omelette, the Calphalon 12-in. Unison Nonstick Covered Omelette Pan gives you breakfast options that are practically limitless. The flat heavy bottom ensures even heat distribution on gas, electric or induction stovetops, and the sloped sides make it easy to flip and turn egg dishes midway through the cooking process. Because the nonstick surface releases food easily, you don't have to use oil or butter to create your favorite meals. This pan is constructed of heavy-gauge hard-anodized aluminum, so it holds up well to everyday use. This piece can withstand oven temperatures up to 500 degrees F, giving you the option of crafting delectable stovetop-to-oven meals without switching pans. The long stick handle has a contemporary twisted design, and it is double riveted for safety and stability. When you're using it to cook sauce-heavy dishes or spatter-prone sautés, pop the see-through lid on and enjoy visual access without the mess or loss of moisture associated with removing the lid. A convenient top handle makes it easy to remove the lid periodically when you need to stir the food or add ingredients. When you're done with your meal, it's easy to clean up because this pan is dishwasher safe. This piece is made in the U.S.A. and comes with a manufacturer's lifetime warranty. Use nylon, silicone or wooden utensils with the pan to maintain the nonstick surface.

  • Not for flat cooktops.

We have a flat cooktop and the pan does not sit flat on the cooktop. Because it does not sit flat, it turns while stirring and does not heat up evenly. Clean-up is easy. Pan can go in oven. Might be better for gas top stoves.

  • Excellent purchase

Overall I am very satisfied with this pan. It is durable, easy to use and cooks nicely. The only thing I didn't like was how the lid fit onto the pan, there is too much play. It seals like a typical lid and the handle gets hot with prolonged cooking, referring to the lid, and any condensation flows back into the pan and down the sides as it should. There was no con for the pan itself. It is easy to clean, durable, the handle stays comfortable to the touch and is sturdy. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great pan I use it to pan sear everything from chicken breasts to pork chops and steaks as well! then finish in the oven for low fat quick meals! Not bad as a omlette pan as well.

  • Excellent skillet, but...

I really love the skillet for the price. I was in need of a large quality non-stick skill, and this one meets my needs. I have used it several times and have no complaints with pan itself, but rather the lid. It is bend in two or three places and does not provide as tight a seal as it should. Fortunately, I have another lid than fits snugly on the skillet. Also, I don't need a lid for most of what I cook. I would give the skillet five stars if I hadn't purchased the set with the lid. I recently purchased a much pricier All-clad non-stick skillet, and honestly, the Calphalon skillet can hold its own. It is an excellent skillet-cooks food evenly and beautifully, is a breeze to clean and the price can't be beat. If it doesn't have as long a life as new All-clad, I can replace two and a half Calphalon's for the price :)

    I recommend this product.

  • Love Calphalon

This skillet is lovely to cook with. It stacks up to everything we have tried so far with out fail. We have had great experience with all of our other Calphalon cookware pieces. This is our third Calphalon non-stick skillet (in 13 years). The previous two were lower quality models from this one, so we have hopes that the Unison material composition will hold out longer. If it lasts longer we will be perfectly content.

  • Great Utility Skillet

We have previously purchased several of these skillets for personal use. This one was purchased as a gift for Christmas. We heard from the receipt of this most recent purchase and she was elated with how well it cooked the food and the ease of clean up afterwards.

  • Nicks and Dings After Shipping

The instructions say nicks and dings are normal so covered themselves with that statement because you WILL have nicks and dings. My pan had several. Since I really love Calphalon cookware I will only buy from a retail store so I can see if there are nicks and dings before I buy!

  • slide is very slick

I have a small saucepan is that this new 'slide' by calphalon so I wanted to try a skillet and it lives up to its name; very slick; items brown quickly. The only thing I would add would be a helper handle opposite the large handle. When it is full of food, it can be quite heavy to move. But that wouldn't stop me from purchasing it again or giving it as a gift.

  • Heavy duty pan!

I haven't had a chance to use this product more than one time, but it is a heavy duty well crafted pan. What I have seen so far, tells me that I need to purchase more in this product line.

  • Wonderful new addition to Calphalon line up

This new pan...at least to me and I have had Calphalon pans before is wonderful. It's the Slide pan which does a great job browning which I haven't experienced. We have been extremely surprised and impressed with this pan. Would highly recommend it to others who like a great pan that does more than they expect.

  • Unison Cookware, is my new drug of choice!

This is my fourth set of Calphalon cookware, each time trading up. About 2 years ago I bought the One series and was very pleased with them until I cooked with the Unison series. After 40 years of daily cooking the Unison series is the best I have ever used. I passed the One series on to a friend and bought the complete line of Unison. They are dishwasher safe, but I'm not sure why! I haven't found anything that doesn't just wipe out with a sponge and soapy water. In the "sear" items the meat becomes a wonderful golden brown, not the usual nonstick gray! The 12" skillet was the last time I needed to have the full set, splurge your deserve it!

    I recommend this product.

I usually opt for heavier pots and pans, and was somewhat disappointed when I first opened the box. However............ this performed beyond expectations, was remarkably easy to clean.

  • Nonstick covered skillet, not what it seems

Well, I thought this was a covered skillet, but what it turned out to be is a covered omelet pan. It came with the interior slightly scratched and the bottom is slightly warped. I have other Calphalon unison pans and have had no issues with these. Disappointed with this one.

  • Awesome...A Must Have

I love Calphalon, it is the only brand I've ever used. I've been waiting to buy this pan for a while and it has lived up to my expectations and is worth every cent. My only complaint is that this is the second time I've purchased from the company online and each time, the pan has arrived scratched. I expect more from Calphalon and maybe I'll have to only buy in the store from now on.

I bought this for my husband, who is picky about his cookware , and what he likes, I decided to suprise him with a new one, his old was worn out, at first he wasn't sure then after using it, he really liked it, and loved the bigger size, as he stir fries alot. I give this an A plus

I love how easily the omlettes cook in and slide out of this pan. But it is a big pan! You pretty much need a 3 egg omlette to fill it. But I love it!
