great surface but pan warps

The nonstick surface is excellent, but the pan is relatively light and thin such that it will warp when heated. This is a problem for, e.g. glass cooktops, because it means that the bottom of the pan is not evenly heated. I've only used the pan to cook meats, but I imagine that the warping could also be a problem when cooking runny foods like pancakes.

Great Product!

I would highly recommend this Calphalon product to anyone. The sides are a bit higher than a normal griddle, and the large cooking surface is a real plus. This round griddle is a joy to use...The food slides out with no effort and cleanup is a breeze. The fact that this product can be placed in a dishwasher is a real bonus. I have enjoyed using it in the short time I've had it and look forward to many years of great service from this product.

FANTASTIC GRIDDLE

IV'E COOKED SEVERAL DIFFERENT THINGS WITH THIS FRYPAN, FROM EGGS TO STEAKS, SAUTED ONIONS AND MADE HOME FRIES EVEN PANCAKES EVERYTHING TURNS OUT GREAT. VERY EVEN HEAT DISTRIBUTION. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT.

Calphalon nonstick round griddle.

I have had a 'crush' on this for some time, then I found it here for a MUCH lower price than I saw in stores. This is the non-stick that can go in the dishwasher, but because it is such a great quality nonstick, with my typical pre-dishwasher wash-up, it cleans up so thoroughly it doesn't need to go in the dishwasher.

I threw out my All Clad grill pan when I received your grillpan. I have been very satisfied with both the grill pan and the griddle; I don't have a gas stove, and your Calphalon griddle works very well for pancakes. I cooked hamburgers on the grill pan this noon, and I love that it cleans up so well, and I don't have to scrub it. I just let it soak a few minutes, Thank you! The Impulse Purchase was one I will not regret.

The 12 inch Nonstick round griddle is the best I have ever used. This morning I used it to fry bacon in and I didn't even have to use a bacon press. I wish I had started useing Calphalon products years ago.

nothing that I've cook so far sticks to the griddle. I've only had it for a few weeks. Love how large it is.

Lower Heat - better results

This takes only a shot of oil spray and it's good to go. I have a ceramic cooktop and I had to use a slightly lower heat for making pancakes on this griddle than I used before on my old one. The pancakes browned very evenly and were easy to move and flip. It took very little to get it washed clean, too.

I was hoping that this griddle would take the place of the square one that I need to throw out. However, it didn't quite work out that way. This griddle only has space for three pancakes while the square one has space for four. But, what I really like about this griddle is that is provides enough flat space for me to fry bacon, and that is a real plus. I also absolutely love the fact that this griddle is dishwasher safe to I don't have to handwash it.

I love using this griddle to cook pancakes, burgers and eggs & hash browns. The non-stick surface cooks very evenly and it cleans up super easily. It fits perfectly on the 12" element in my new smooth cooktop.
