Great tasting coffee!

by Micki, WA

This is the most full bodied, rich coffee I've ever had. It makes your home coffee brewer into a professional tasting coffee house brewer!! First thing in the morning, there's nothing better than a Latte made with this coffee!!!

I fell in love woth this coffee when I lived in Seattle. The King Soopers where I live in Colorado used to carry it, but no longer does. So glad I can get it online - and have it shipped automatically every couple of months.

I buy nothing but Perugia Blend Whole Bean by Torrefazione. It's a premium blend and makes excellent coffee. No other coffee I've tried can compare.

Best coffee outside Italy

by klara, CA
June 4, 2012

We first tasted this brand of coffee at a restaurant in Friday Harbor, Seattle. Promptly fell in love with it as we do love the coffee in Italy. By chance we found the real Torrefazione shop in Palermo during our trip to Sicily. We wish we brought an extra suitcase. They would ship it to US but the postage was pretty prohibitive - making this the next best way to enjoy our coffee, buying it through Cooking.com.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST COFFEE I'VE HAD

by B Siek, IL
June 4, 2012

I had this coffee at the Coast Hotel in Calgary. While not a 5-star hotel, it did not stint on the free coffee packets it gave to guests for their coffeemaker in the room.

Torrefazione Italia's Perugia Blend is absolutely the best coffee I've had, not just in a hotel, but it beats Starbucks' own coffeehouse coffee. I say that because Torrefazione is a division of Starbucks. I kept one of the coffee wrappers, tracked it down once at home, and ordered it on the spot from Cooking.com which has a better deal than Amazon.

If you enjoy..well, are a coffee addict like me, you'll love the rich, definitive taste of Perugia Blend with none of the bitter taste that some roasted coffees have.

My husband is very fond of Torrefazione Italia coffee and where we live, we have been unable to find it to purchase. I was quite pleased to see this product offered through @Cooking.com. He was very happy to find this in his Easter basket.

What I love about the Perugia coffee is that it doesn't give me the jitters and the flavor is full and cocoa-like. I think the beans they use are Robusto beans and I feel that the Robusto bean is actually a better bean and proper roasting is the key to it's consistently rich flavor. I make it in a French press (don't know any other way to make it).

I tried the Napoli but my wife didn't seem to enjoy it as much as the Perugia and I think it's great as well. I'm glad we tried it and have it on out ship to save program so we never run out.

Very Good Coffee....

by Michael, CA
December 11, 2011

All of Torrefazione Italia's coffees are terrific but the Perugia Blend is my personal favorite. It's a true medium roast without any bitterness. The beans are a tad oily so you may have to clean your grinder more often than with a drier roast.
The price is better suited to a pound rather than 12 oz., but it is a great cup of coffee

Byrned beans

by Nancy, CT
September 3, 2011

Having used this coffee before, I was accustomed to it's taste and was anticipating repeating the pleasure. These beans had a definite burned flavor greatly detracting from the pleasure I had been anticipating.

This is one of the best tasting coffees that I have found outside of Italy and it is a shame that its quality has gone down.
