online at any time. You'll only be charged for each order when the item is shipped.
The amount charged each time will reflect the price of the item on the day the order
is placed, plus any applicable sales tax.

to modify the frequency of your shipments, the quantity of your subscription, and
billing or shipping address and payment methods. Changes will take place immediately
and will be applied to all unshipped orders associated with your subscription.

This is a truly great coffee for espresso. I've tried many different roasts and keep coming back here. It's smooth and slightly nutty, with a chocolate finish. No bitterness or bad aftertaste. I ran out and bought some from a well-known large national chain and compared to this it was tasteless to drink and afterward tasted like I'd swallowed a dead rat compared to this. The only downside is that once you get it you won't want to drink anything else.
Since this company (Torrefazione) and its cafes were acquired and promptly closed by Starbucks, the quality control of the various Torrefazione blends is doubtful. The blends now prepared by Starbucks varies widely. The original objective was not, of course, to expand the coffee offering range of Starbucks but to erase a competitor. If they had continued the quality of Torrefazione I would have no complaints but Starbucks does not.
I have lived and worked in the coffee-loving Pacific Northwest and western Europe. Torrefazione was the best coffee house experience. Perugia whole bean make the best espresso. I hear Starbucks is discontinuing Torrefazione whole bean and will sell ground only. To make great espresso, you must grind your own beans. This is a terrible mistake. Please write Starbucks and let them know.
I thought the price was a little steep but I have had Torrefazione before and I was willing to pay the higher price. Very excellent coffee and I will be making a purchase again eventually once I run out of my previous order. I make my own Lattes every morning which I just love to do, it saves me so much money. I wish it came preground but as I am an avid coffee drinker I have my own grinder just for the occassion.
I have tried many types and brands of good locally roasted coffee, but the Perugia Blend beats them all, and is my favorite coffee for espresso. This coffee has a deep rich flavor, slight sweetness, and very little bitterness. It is simply the best espresso blend I have found for home use with my La Pavoni Europiccola espresso machine and Rancilio Rocky coffee grinder.
Also important: My experience with shipping has been excellent. The coffee arrives at my home in the Utah 4 days after order, and is always freshly packaged. If one buys six packages (twelve oz. each) at a time, cost with shipping is less than twelve dollars a pound -- close to or below the cost of local quality roasts, but with the convenience of home delivery. If you drink espresso, give it a try! I think you will be pleased.
I got addicted to this coffee in the cafes in Portland (NW 23rd and Pearl District) and continue to love it, despite the Evil Empire of Starbucks buying it and closing down all the cafes. But I try to re-live the experience with the coffee at home and this stuff is the best. Just a great coffee.
How to win friends and influence people. At one time, my husband and I owned coffee houses in Oregon. We served only Torrefazione Italia coffee. After moving to another state, we were able to buy Torrefazione Italia coffee at the local grocery chain store. Our friends also started buying it, however, the store too quickly quit carrying the brand. Now we have our own, in home, espresso maker, and w/ regularity order Perugia and other Torrefazione Italia beans. We believe we have the best coffee in our city and our neighbors and friends agree. When traveling, we are always welcomed guests for we take bags of Torrefazione Italia beans with us and brew coffee for our friends and family with whom we are staying.
I am very pleased by your improved delivery times after order. You appear to be storing the beans in Southern California which allows quicker delivery but means a longer time after the beans are roasted in Seattle? As a gourmet coffee enthusiast I am concerned about the age of the beans after you roast them. I am also pleased with your improving delivery time. My recent order only took a few days after order. In the beginning my first order took several weeks.
If you could comment on your standards about fresh roasting and delivery of coffee beans I would appreciate it.
This is the only coffee we drink. We love a strong, flavorful coffee and had been unsuccessful in finding that perfect cup to drink at home. When we discovered this coffee there was no turning back. The perfect cup to sip and have a great conversation.
I am not a coffee afficianado by any means, but I do know a good cup when I taste one... This Perugia is an excellent brew with a jolt that is just right - not soooo strong that you fight it and yet, heavy enough to enjoy all of the coffee's fine attributes. I ordered this on a recommendation from cooks.com after speaking to one of their cust. svc. reps. and they were right-on.!. And for the price, I haven't been able to touch it with anything else I have found on the market - granted, I need to explore the market a bit more, however, this coffee makes me want to stop right here - It's just really great coffee... This coffee is rich, warm, sweet and delightful. Used in a perfect latte it has undertones of delicious chocolate and caramel. No bitterness, ever - even if the espresso machine is too hot it won't come through with any burned taste. This is the bean the Torrefazione bistros used for the espresso drinks and it is pure heaven.
We won't drink anything else. Found this coffee when I had a Torrefazione Italia coffee shop around the corner from my house. We were addicted. Disappointed that Starbucks bought them, but sincerely hope they never change this roast. It makes the perfect espresso. Just like being in Italy.
This makes the smoothest and richest lattes. Torrefazione was a favorite before Starbucks bought the company and then closed all its retail outlets. I only find Perugia on Cooking.com and hope I will continue to do so for a long long time.
