Wusthof 12 piece Starter set review

I have used other brands of cutlery, Kitchen Aid, Cutco, J.A Henkel to name a few.They all were lkie useing a back saw instead of a good knife. The knifes I ordered from Foodnetwork were a pleasure to use. They have a nice sharpness that makes food preperation easy and a little faster. The next blade I will add to the set will be the oriental stile chopping blade then the meat slicer. Overall a nice set of blades.

Knife Block Review

Excellent knife set and wooden block. Better without the kitchen shears. A Carving fork would be a better choice for this set.

We have been enjoying Wusthof knives for over a decade now, and I still regret not having sprung for great knives many years ago. We now proudly give Wusthof knife sets to our children as wedding and house warming gifts, and they, too now wonder, "how do you ever get by in the kitchen without great knives? Start with a Chef's knife or even just a paring knife and you will be hooked with no regrets!

Excellent knives overall. The chef knife is a bargain. I found the smaller knives (steak knives) relatively thin but don't have anything to compare them to. Overall, glad I bought the the set, no regrets.

i was disappointed their were only 11 knives and slots left over. they were nothing exceptional. went to a home goods store a week later and saw kitchen aid knives for much less money and more knives. i am not a shopper but in this case i have learned to shop around more.

Knives sharp but light

I expected a heavier set of knives. My first impression was not favorable as they are light as in flimsy. They are sharp and I hope will hold their edge. I expect with a reputation Wustof has they will. TIme will tell. I am trying to get used to the lighter feel and just hope it isn't an indication of poor quality.

AMAZING

The best knives I have ever used. I could not believe the difference. I am a foodie and I keep my knives sharp. These knives are light weigh, almost like there is nothing in your hand and are the sharpest knives I have ever used, amazing!!!! a great investment!

What a difference

We bought this set to replace another larger set we purchased from another mid-range brand. Our old knives were so dull they became a hazard and refused to sharpen no matter how we tried. This new set, while about twice as much as we had spent previously, cuts with ease and is a pleasure to use. There are two slots for additional knives. we plan to add to our set over time. Well worth the money for both ease of use and safety (sometimes a sharper knife makes all the difference)

some time ago i bought one wusthof knife because it was on a special sale. ever since then, i knew i wanted a complete set . when the block set went on sale, i put it on my christmas list and also purchased a set for my son who will be getting married soon. we will enjoy these knives for years to come.

The Wustloff Knife block set

The best set of knives in my many married 35 years. Could never afford it, but these were very good quality and such a good price. Could not pass it up. I think I deserve it after all these years. Thank you Food Network!!!

it needs a few more knifes, like tomato knife.
