Exactly what I was looking for

I've only had this pot for a week now, but I've used it a number of times and am very happy with it so far. The body of the pot is nice and thick without being heavy. The handles are comfortable, well attached and stay fairly cool while cooking. The lid seems well made and fits the pot snugly. My only complaint is pretty minor. The pot has lots of lateral lines in it, which appear to be a result of the machining process. It would have been nice if they could have polished or sanded those out before anodizing the pot. This would have resulted in a smoother anodized surface making cleanup simpler and food less prone to sticking.

Improve the Top

The product is good but can be improved. The top needs a bit of reshaping so that it will nest well with the pot when the top is turned upside down (which is necessary for the pot to fit in my fridge). As currently shaped, the top slides around when inverted. So, I have to use a top from a different pot when putting it in the fridge.

Love the quality!

I was in search of a Huge crockpot that wouldn't have my food sticking to the bottom of the pot. It's very hard to find one as big as I wanted. Calphalon had exactly what I was looking for and since I've already owned many of their products, I'm aware at the quality so I decided to purchase this pot. It was on sale for $99 and it shipped free (and quickly!). I absolutely love it! No messy clean up (nothing sticks or gets crusted to it). Well worth the money, you will have this stockpot for YEARS!

Awesome Cookware!

I ordered the commercial line of Calphalon cookware and fell in love. I just added the 12 quart stockpot to my set. This is truly the greatest line of cookware I have ever owned. I consider myself a pretty great cook and this cookware makes my cooking come out perfect every time -- even cooking, no burning, and easy clean up.

Nice 12 Qt Pot

I had been looking for a 12 Qt. caphalon pot for awhile. This pot is a close match to my other Caphalon pots. It is high quality and what I was looking for. I am old fashioned.... so I wish it would have been a little heavier and thicker gauge.

Covered Stockpot, (12-qt.)

Very good stockpot the best I have ever used. Makes great soups especially the chicken dummpling soup. This will last forever.

Great pot, great value

I have used, and loved, the 8.5 qt hard-anodized Dutch Oven for several years, so when I saw the price on this 12 qt stock pot, I had to have it. Clean up is a breeze and any type utensil can be used. When I make sauce or stock, my 8 qt stock pots just weren't quite big enough. I have only used it a few times so far, but it is as great as I expected it to be. I have my eye on another piece or two left in this line that I don't already have. This has to be one of the best lines ever made; my sister-in-law has used these pans for 20 years and they still look and perform great.

Perfectly Sized Stockpot

The 12 quart stockpot fully met all of our expectations! The non-stick qualities are excellent. We use the stockpot primarily for making Italian meat sauce and the ability to allow it to simmer for long periods is the best! Outstanting product! It would have been nice to have had the option of getting the bronze finish to match the 10 piece set we already had but that was not available.

Worthy Addition, not too wide, not to tall, not to narrow, as Goldilocks would say just right! Many similar pots available for less, but not of the caliber in construction and weight, the design allows for fast water boil, and wonderful heat maintenance easily controlled by flame, or temperature adjustment. Thickness of the aluminum does great job distributing and holding heat--heats the liquid quickly and keeps soup stock simmering well on lower heat. Love the glass cover--I don't have to remove it to check on the stock. Finish cleans easily and browns perfectly. Sturdy handles and cover seem designed for frequent use for a long time. Tall size fits tall blanching basket, essential for processing garden produce for freezer. Excellent product.

Overall Thoughts

Although this product is not dishwasher safe, it does clean up with ease. And true to its ad, the handles DO STAY COOL! Love the glass lid, too! It was offered at a wonderful sales' price and I'm thrilled to have it! Have used it only once since receiving but am totally looking forward to making stocks, soups, and other "yummies" in it! I highly recommend this product for yourself or for gifting. It's a surefire hit!

Worth The Wait

I have wanted this pot for a long time but it was always out of reach for me due to the price. When I joined the Food Network Store and received an extra incentive (for having joined) off the already incredible value, I had to act. I will never have to replace it. J. Beck, N.J.

Great Stock Pot!

Was looking for a quality stock pot to makes soups,stews, etc. And this pot definitely fit the bill! Can just tell by the craftsmanship that this pot will last a very long time :-)

small pot.

Not what I was expecting,many years ago you carried a very large size which was featured as a bonus. I wanted it then but I wasn't able to buy it because it was a part of a set. Very disappointed.

Bring back the 8-qt Covered Stockpot or make this one wider and shorter. This is a bit high for stove top cooking. Have to stand on footstool to easily serve soup.
