I was very excited about purchasing my first stock pot. I've been using a stainless steel 4 qt pan until now. The description of the product said that it was a full aluminum core, when I received it, only the bottom is the full core. After 3 hours of cooking quartered potatoes on med heat, the water still wasn't boiling and the potatoes weren't done. I have also been scrubbing/soaking the bottom of the pan for 3 days trying to remove the scorched potatoes from the bottom.

Great stock pot.

I do a lot of canning, and the ideal size for me is a 9 qt batch. I have an 8 qt and 22 qt stock pot - the 8 qt is ust too small and the 22 so large it is hard to work with. Thus the purchase of this pot. I love it! If I ever replace the other two sizes it will be with this brand (if available). I've used it both on stove-top and in the oven. I especially like the glass lid - it is really nice to see what's happening without lifting the lid.

Stockpot is nice and heavy, very well made. The only improvement to me would be a non-glass lid.

Amazing Stockpot

I was looking for a reasonable sized stockpot that would cook chili, stew, etc. without sticking problems. This pot fills the bill. Enables you to use a low heat setting and cooks easily without any sticking. Easy cleanup. The new modern design is quite attractive as well. I am very pleased.

I have had my pots and pans since I got married, and they were really beginning to look tattered with scrapes and dings. I decided to replace them as I could, and since large pots are never in sets, when I saw this online for half price I couldn't resist. It's wonderful - very even heat, did a beautiful job on the soups and stews I made over the holiday! Easy to clean afterwards too, so I know that my replacements will look good for a lot longer than my first set did!
