Easy Mash

by Elaine, NM
March 20, 2012

I got this for fixing mashed potatoes, but noticed that it, also, came with a larger hole plate as well. My first thought was to make spaetzle with it. And sure enough, the box even says that's a good use. My potatoes mashed easily, with a little elbow grease, but it was easier than dragging out my mixer. Then I added melted butter and heated milk. Very good.

Initial use of potato ricer.

I've never used a potato ricer. After initial use yesterday I'm not
Sure there's a value to,be placed. The device does not save time versus other potato mashing methods and final results were inconclusive. And the device is much more difficult to clean.

Because I've only had this ricer for such a short time, I'm unable to give it my complete endorsement, but based on having used it twice, it's a terrific buy!! It has a large opening so that you don't have to cut up the potatoes into little teeny bits and it is extremely easy to clean. Changing the inserts is easy. Just make sure that the potatoes are properly cooked, but that's true of all ricers.

RSVP potato ricer

by Lynn, TX

The only negative thing I can say about this ricer is that the plastic part that holds the ricer plate in place is a little difficult to remove for changing or cleaning. Small hands, those without much strength or arthritics may have some trouble with it. My grown daughter has small hands and she has a bit of difficulty but I don't. I thought it might be difficult to press the potatoes through but it was very easy. I do like the ricer and would normally recommend it.

this is the first time that my mashed potatoes came out fluffy and
not gluey. Of course I followed a recipe to insure these results but
I'm positive that the ricer helped tremendously. It was easy to use
and clean up was easy. Great product, great price, great results.
What more could I ask for. Excellent.

Test Kitchen Review

by Russell, HI
January 4, 2010

America's Test Kitchen reviewed and recommended your potato ricer on one of their shows. They were right. Your ricer is economical, easy to use, and saves time. I now have faith, and experience, in the recommendations made by America's Test Kitchen.

Potato ricer

by Cathy, IL
March 29, 2010

This was my first experience with a potato ricer in more than 30 years of cooking. It made quick work of the cooked potatoes and they came out minus lumps and very smooth. The price was very inexpensive and it has two metal plates to vary the coarseness. I'm looking forward to using it for sweet potatoes this weekend for Easter.

I haven't used the ricer yet and probably won't be using it for quite awhile. But it looked like a real improvement over the old one my mom had.

I have owned potato ricers before but this one is the best. Easy to use, easily sets on a bowl, easy to clean, and it's not metal. People stop putting your potatoes in the stand mixer! Highly recommend this product.

I love this ricer. I have been wanting one for some time, but never got around to buying one. This one was on sale on Kraftstore.com and I decided now was the time. I wish I had gotten it 40 years ago. The potatoes are light an fluffy with the ricer and it is extremely easy to use. GREAT!!!!
