I like this product. It does not hold enough potatoes,so you have to keep loading it. I tried to change out the blade and I could not do it. I will read the instructions again.

I had never used a ricer before, I had always made mashed potatoes with my hand mixer. The potatoes my daughters and I made with this ricer were amazing! It is simple to use and simple to clean. A few potatoes did come up over the sides, but not too many. Even my 10 year old daughter loved using it. Price for value, it can't be beat!

This ricer was recommended by Cook's Illustrated. It made the lightest gnocchi and mashed potatoes. It held an entire cup and was easy to squeeze.

We've used the ricer one time so far, but the initial review is very positive. It is sturdy, although it is almost all plastic (reason it didn't get a 5). Very little potato left behind in the "cylinder". It comes with two disks for processing other foods. The final product was smooth, even and easy to blend with other mashed potato ingredients.

As a teenager I worked in a hospital kitchen. We made riced potatoes almost every day of the week. Riced the potatoes into a big pan, poured melted butter over, then baked in the huge ovens. Wow! Couldn't ask for a better nostalgia trip than this! Love it!
