I purchased this grill pan after looking at a lot of others because I decided using stainless steel was a healthier option. The material won't scratch off and leak toxic substances into your food, etc. It will last longer than non-stick and it can be put in the oven. Once I got it in the mail I really loved the way it looked, beautiful polish, great size, nice feel. It grilled great tasting burgers but I guess I pre-heated it too high (I later read that it doesn't need to be pre-heated as high as other materials) and it caused the oil to burn on it and after using it I wasn't able to get off the burnt oil or the burnt food 100%. It still has some grime on it and has lost it's beautiful shininess. I tried Bar-Keepers Friend as recommended, then vinegar and of course I first tried soap and hot water and nothing worked. For this, I don't know if I would recommend it, and since it did cost $80 I would have expected it not to have any flaws. Not being able to clean it is a major negative. Of course that could have been my own mistake in pre-heating it too high too soon...

I love this grill pan; lightweight, perfect size for my family of 6, easy to wash.

Size

Bought it specifically because it was recommended for ceramic stove tops, however it was too large for even my largest burner. Returning the item. Would love to see the same pan in a smaller size; say 11 to 12 inches.

Room for four!

This is a great pan. The gauge of the metal is very thin however, and it will not work on an Induction cookplate. I get better results on gas with the 11' kuhn rikon flame spreader. This pan is large enough for four large shell steaks. It is easy to clean, unlike cast iron grill pans.
