Grilling the Bar Keeper's Friend

I've been wanting a stainless steel grill for years--This one is 13", perfect for feeding bigger families/groups. I thought it was a bit pricey, but it is stainless, which I think is much better for one's health than nonstick cookware. I'm slowly trying to learn the optimal way to use it, but nonetheless, I've had great results the 2 times I've grilled with it so far: fish, chicken. One review I saw, the woman complained of burnt-on food. When mine looked burnt-on, I let the pan cool down totally for about an hour, and then rinsed the burnt stuff off with a plastic brush. No problem with that. The problem came with the oil-slick of sorts that remains on the grill. I had never heard of Bar Keepers Friend, and therefore I never looked for it in the store. Perhaps this grill should have come with Bar Keepers Friend and a Scotch Brite scrubbie...I hope I find it in one of the supermarkets or home goods stores I frequent, because I'm itching to use my grill again--I've got a recipe book on Burgers, and a different one on Vegetarian Burgers. I can't wait. If I really like it, I'm going to give away my electric enamel grill and use the Calphalon exclusively...

Excellent grill pan!

I purchased this pan because it was stated to be safe to use on a flat glass surface. It heats up quickly & evenly. The meats I have grilled on it so far have been excellent... flavorful and juicy with perfect grill lines. It's a bit time consuming to clean, but I don't plan to polish it back up every time I use it. I'll have to see how it does over time. I'm looking forward to getting a lot of use out of this pan!

I find this pan very difficult to clean. I wish I had ordered the non-stick instead.

Great grilling

Was really impressed with the way this pan grilled. Nice grill marks and the way this pan browns. Great product! One of my favorite pans already.

Great Grill Pan

I had an expensive coated grill pan and love it until the coating started coming off after a year. So I was happy with some other Calphalon I had purchased so I thought I would try their non coated stainless steel grill pan. I love it and it works a great deal better then the coated one.
