Wonderful used it while grilling meat and my stove was splatter free and I love that I can use it on different size pans! And it's easy to clean with soapy water.

good price, but hard to use/store

If you really need a splatter guard, get one that fits the specific pan you usually fry in. Although the multiple sizes work, it's awkward to use. It's size makes it hard to store.

Surprisingly Effective

I don't own a dishwasher, so effectiveness AND ease of cleanup were of paramount importance. The perforations are plentiful enough to let steam escape; the weight is nice and the handle is easy to grip. Like all splatter guards, one should be careful to hold an edge over the skillet or Dutch oven or cookware so that water doesn't drip on the stove surface or on the floor. I use dish liquid and then Bar Keeper's Friend for cleanup, and this has been very successful; there is absolutely no grease buildup in the holes of the guard. SO GLAD I didn't purchase a mesh- or screen-type splatter guard. This is perfect for me.

Works very well. Fits a variety of pan sizes.

Have tried other splatter guards but they never fit close to the pan as this one does. Sturdy and nice looking.

I really love that it fits 3 different size pans. And No grease splatters out,but,it Does keep a lot of moisture in as well,so you have to be careful! It is very simple to clean compared to those wire/mesh types.

GOOD FIT

I love that this fits all my pans, it is light weight and well designed. The handle stays cool. My only reservation is if the handle is durable. Only time will tell.

It does work

It does keep the oil from spilling through onto the stove. Only 1 bad thing is that it's a little bulky.

Best Splatter Guard I've Owned

This splatter guard has been a great addition to my kitchen. I have a large skillet (12.5 inches in diameter) that I use all the time--probably 5-6 times a week--and this splatter guard fits it perfectly. My old screen type guard did not fit, so the handle ended up melted in spots where it happened to touch the sides of the pan. While this guard is large, I just store it under the skillet and it's fine. Definitely would recommend this product.

Excellent Splatter Guard!

This splatter guard beats any wire mesh splatter guard 10 to 1! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because you can't put it in the dishwasher. It's not a problem to wash, but putting it in the washer with the rest of the other things is a BIG plus in my book. Don't let that one thing deter you from getting this. You won't regret this purchase.

This product is very good in terms of strength, handling, and materials of construction. However, there is one feature that causes me misgivings: the perforations. The underside of the drilled perforations feel sort of rough and less than perfectly finished. We use sponge cleaners for most of our hand-wash jobs (and this product would be a bit large for a dishwasher), and both my wife and I feel--but have not yet proved--that the underside would tear the sponges. The situation is exacerbated by the fact that these handled sponge cleaners are often difficult to replace--many are poorly manufactured and therefore functionally useless. Having said all of this, bottom line is that we fear that the cleanup of this utensil will be a real pain. If you have info that would negate our suspicions, please pass it on. Jim Wilson

Durable , econonical splatterguard !

It's a durable product, saves us from buying screen splatter guard continually. So impressed how easy it is to clean the oil and residue of the food were cooking, actually its a good investment over a period of time. Yes! its a must that you should get one of this.

I love it!!!!

I am delighted with my Universal Splatter Guard by Calphalon. It is sturdy, unlike a mesh one that I had before. That one was problematic for storage as it warped easily and, of course, then did fit snuggly on any pan. The Universal sits well on Saute/Fry Pans and on three different sizes as well. Great buy. P.S. Bought one for my daughter and she likes it very much.
