Nice and heavy without being bulky and very well balanced. Usefull for getting just about anything out of hot water as well as skimming.

I bought this skimmer primarily for lowering pasta into boiling water. I always hated how the scalding water splashed up when I would drop in the ravioli. (I know, I'm a baby!) But it works great. No more pasta fear! This utensil has all the quality I'd expect from All-Clad.
