Make sharpening knives a thing of the past with the J.A. Henckels International 13-pc. Everedge Plus Cutlery Set with Graphite Block, which contains a complete set of knives that maintain their edges without any extra effort from you. These high-carbon steel knives are serrated to give them a powerful edge that breaks through thick rinds and crusts with ease, and they resist staining to maintain their appearance over time. The molded Santoprene handles are a joy to hold, so your hands won't get sore when you're spending hours at the chopping board. The set includes a 2.75-inch paring knife that's perfect for peeling and chopping soft fruits, such as peaches, plums and mangoes. The set also has a 5.5-inch tomato knife and 5.5-inch boning knife to help you handle specialty cutting jobs in the kitchen, so you can start preparing your chicken cacciatore or baked fish dish right away. For general-purpose uses, the 6-inch utility knife and 8-inch chef's knife can handle anything from cutting meat for a stir fry to slicing vegetables for the grill. An 8-inch bread knife rounds out the set of food preparation knives, and the six 5-inch steak knives ensure that you can easily slice and cut meat after it's been cooked, too. All of these ultra-sharp knives come with a graphite-painted hardwood block that keeps them organized when they aren't in use. A lifetime manufacturer's warranty covers the set against defects. The silver and black color scheme matches most modern kitchen décor.

Features:

  • 13-piece set
  • Graphite-painted hardwood storage block
  • Everedge knives never require sharpening
  • Stain-resistant blades
  • Serrated edges

  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS

  • Not very impressed. I knew before ordering that they were serrated, but considering they were Henckels, I thought they would be better than the 'ginsu' type knives out there. (yes I'm lazy and was trying to avoid regular professional sharpening... stupid me) They do look nice (which is why I purchased them), and the price was surely right, but I guess I'm not used to having to 'saw' through an onion. The bread knife is good, as a previous reviewer posted.

I guess you get what you pay for. I like the look of them in my kitchen and will use the steak knives and some of the other knives, but I ordered one of Henckel's 5-star Santoku knives to use in place of the Chefs knife for basic chopping, dicing.

All in all, not bad for the price but don't expect the performance of a forged knife. My $60 set of 'Cooks Essentials' I purchased from QVC a few years ago (don't laugh), actually outperform these as long as you keep them sharpened.

  • Great set of knives at a great price! I have been able to cut through all my meats with ease, and the handles are quite comfortable...and very aesthetically pleasing! The silver and black go quite well in my kitchen. I would recommend these knives to anyone.

    I recommend this product.

  • Cutlery Set with graphite block

Great set, very nice look. I was surprised the knives was as heavy as they was, and so was the block.

    I recommend this product.

I've only used 3 or 4 of the knives so far but they work great. Seems to be a great buy!!

  • This cutlery set is awesome!

I love my new cutlery. Our old set was like trying to saw through cement with a plastic knife. I have to remind myself that these do exactly what cutlery are intended to do. They are also beautiful! They look great on the kitchen counter.

    I recommend this product.

I bought them because a cook recommended them and I've use only one knife so far and It was kind of stiff to use but after I got the feel for it I was happy with my selection.

  • The design is very sleek and looks nice in any kitchen. The easy grip handles are a plus - I do not have those on my professional set of Henkels. Many cooks look down on "ever sharp" models but these knives work very well for the every day user. I ordered this set as a gift for my in-laws but I have a set at home too that has held up well.

    I recommend this product.
