Great set, useful sizes

We bought this set as a joint Christmas present after using one of the sauce pans purchased earlier as “open stock” from a local department store. My wife And I are enthusiastic chefs who appreciate the value of good kitchen tools. We both prefer Caphelon over All-Clad because of the ergonomics of the handle design. Kitchen-Aid also meets our criteria for comfortable handle design.

Disappointed -My own fault

I bought this item on-line thinking I was getting the same quality pans that I got my daughters for Christmas. It has more items, made by the same company, looks very similar to the Food Network Branded pans but are inferior to them. I felt stupid to have ordered the wrong set, as well as busting open the box in my haste to see my set (causing me not to want to send them back). So, I have a good quality set of pans, smaller than the Food Network Branded set, thinner handles, lighter weight and does not have the ability to strain vegetables. I recommend that you buy the Food Network 10-piece set. It will make you happy.

Made in China

I thought I was buying an American made product from an American company. Calphalon is advertised on several sites as being Made in America. So, you can imagine my surprise to receive boxes all marked Made in China. Even the customer representative I spoke to sounded embarrassed when she had to ask someone else where the product was made. I'm not returning the product. But you need to quit representing your self as a Made in America company.

Nice set of cookware

I enjoy this stainless steel set. I've always cooked with good quality cookware, although they have always been "non-stick". I wanted to get away from the non-stick surface, so I researched a variety of stainless steel. The manufacturing was of utmost important to me (layers of steel with copper or aluminum, rivets on the handles...). In addition, I wanted clear lids. I am very pleased with this set. My only issue is getting accustomed to beginning the cooking process with a lower heat then I've been used to in the past, especially if I saute or fry rice or potatoes. They stick if I go too hot at the beginning of cooking.

Nice cookware, but not without flaws

I have owned the Calphalon Copper Tri-Ply cookware for 6 years, and love how they cook and held up over the years. However, I got tired of keeping the copper clean so I decided to move to stainless cookware. I decided to get two All Clad Copper Core pans for the largest (and most used) size and fill the rest out with this Calphalon SS Tri-Ply set. Neither All Clad set perfectly flat on my glasstop stove, which was extremely dissappointing given their rep and cost. So at that point I was hoping to return them when this Calphalon set arrives, but when it does I find the two largest pans (12" fry and 3qt sauce) are even less flat than the All Clads!! My old Calphalon Copper Tri-Plys were dead flat. But I've already given them away :( Color me disappointed two major manufacturers. I have not used the pans so I'm hoping despite the flatness they will perform well, as my Calphalon Copper Tri-Ply set was so good and I don't want to take a step down.

What a beautiful cookware set! I am absolutely pleased. Built to last and easy to clean. I thought I loved cooking before. I am hooked on this set!

Thumbs up for Calphalon!!

I am enjoying my 3-ply stainless steel Calphalon cookware. I am happy that a tiny bit of olive oil is all it takes to coat the pan and cook and will save us many calories over time. I have had my eye on this set of cookware for a long time. I am glad I made it a reality.

Love Them

Love these! Clear tops help to regulate boiling/cooking temp without removing cover. Heavy bottoms cut cooking time in half and make for even cooking. Awesome set. I've had Quissinart, Faberware, Gourmet Standard and Calphalon non-stick. The tri-clad SS is by far my favorite to cook with.

Nice product - Good value

I have never had a good set of cookware so I can't objectively tell you this set is better than another but I can tell you I am a stickler for quality. I know what quality feels and looks like and this set has me really impressed. I love cooking with it and when used as directed it truly cleans as easily at non stick cookware. I have had this set for a month now and hope I am as happy with it in 10 years as I am with it today.

Love It!

I can't think of more things to say on the positive side that others haven't already said. I've had this set and the 2 extras that came with it (non-stick everyday pan & a utensil set) for 3 weeks and am very happy. I'll never use anything but Calphalon again!

We've been very pleased with the Tri-Ply cookware. They heat evenly and clean up well. We have enjoyed cooking with this set.

I like the pots and pans I have used. Kind of discouraged the way some things stick in them--hashbrowns and eggs so far.

This cookware set is fantanstic for the price.
Other reveiws mentioned that the pans were hard to clean. THEY WERE RIGHT! I followed all the Manufacturers' instructions and they are still difficult but NOT IMPOSSIBLE to clean. I would buy again and recommend them to a friend / family member.

I'm in love!

I'm very pleased with the performance of this cookware. Properly heated, they are more non-stick than any of my non-stick cookware, and I find I'm using far less butter and oil to cook. They heat and cook evenly. I hand-wash and they clean up quickly without any scrubbing. They look as good as the day I got them!

Fantastic

This is an outstanding set of cookware. It does take some time to get used to cooking on stainless steel cookware but the benifits are worth it.

Thrilled with my new Tri-Ply Stainless!

I am beyond thrilled with my new Tri-Ply Stainless! Back in the mid to late 90's, I got my first set of Calphalon (Commercial Nonstick). I ADORED it! Sadly, I didn't take it with me when I divorced. After years of using cheaper brands and experimenting with non-stick vs. stainless, I knew I wanted a good stainless steel set and went back to my first love...Calphalon. It cooks like a dream! I still find myself shocked at the even heating, the smooth cleanup, and the ease of use. And it's so beautiful hanging on my pot rack. Thank you for making such great products for us at-home chefs. I am just so happy!

Great pans.

These are great pans. We first had two sets that we bought from Kohls. The first set the 6 qt. stock pot split atthe rim on first use. The second replacement set the skillet was crushed. This final set direct from Calphalon was perfect. We did notice that the 6 qt. stock pot after first use boiling left small finish marks on the bottom, as if the interior stainless coating had a blemish that caused it to release the coating. But with the warranty we are not concerned if it gets worse. This is second set of Calphalon pans in 15 years. The first set was non-stick that finally began to ware with use. I would recommend his company product line to anyone who wants cook ware that lasts.

stainless steal cookware

I purchased this set as a wedding gift. I chose this product, after doing extensive research on quality and cooking ability and hands down it was rated as one of the best on market.........and the pricing was as good as it gets...........This company is wonderful to work with.....with this set they were offering two free itmes but when I did the check out only one was listed as being shipped with the cookware so I called the company and they apologized and promptly sent me out the other free offer product. I will definitley be a return customer, when the need arises.

LOVE THIS COOKWARE!!!

This is the best cookware I have ever owned. Follow the simple instructions of preheating the pans and NOTHING sticks. And it is so easy to clean. Before this cookware my old pots and pans would have to soak forever to come clean. Not anymore. This cookware also cooks so much faster. I will never own any other brand. I couldn't decide between Calphalon and All-Clad and I am so glad I went with Calphalon!!!
